I'm getting confused over EPC, why should we pay attention to the EPC of the network side ?
To see generally how the offer performs for everyone else.
It's not really reliable because you don't know how other affiliates are pushing it. For example somebody might be using contextual which will skew the results compared to if you wanted to promote it via search.
For example I could be promoting an acai product for the search term "buy acai product" which the epc will (should) be really high compared to if somebody just popped the offer over related acai products on ppv which still could be profitable for them but the epc will be much lower
^^ what rich said... I never really look at that number because I'll just talk with my AM's and other affs, and do some research about the offers I'm running, and I trust them to recommend good offers.. then I'll test them and see for myself how well I can do with them
