Does anyone have a recommendation on a good blog service for SEO? I mean like Tumblr vs. Weebly vs. Google Pages vs Blogger etc.
There was a short period of time when a tumblr blog would rank almost immediately for a low competition phrase. I'm curious if I wanted to go after a few keywords, which free blog service gets the best SEO results.

Don't bother...if you don't control your own blog then it will always be a gamble. If you have to, go with Blogger and once its established switch it over to your own domain.
It does not rank like it used to.
Off course, it depends on what you do. If you are just trying to rank straight low competition keywords then I'd stay away. Google just don't tolerate spam on Blogger anymore.
web 2.0s dont rank like they used to since panda. But they do well as 1st tier backlinks to your money site.
For SEO you need your own domain name. Make sure your domain name has your keyword in it. Most powerful SEO technique (also the easiest to do)
