how to observe PPV ads?

Hi Stackman,
I'm ready to get started on PPV and am planning to observe what's "out there" first.

How can I look at other marketers' PPV ads? I even had a look at gamevance.com today and played a few games for 20 minutes using my browser but didn't see any pop-ups...

maybe I need to download some software before I can see PPV ads?

apart from gamevance.com, any other websites I can go to take a look around?

thanks!

Hey,

not stackman here but I can help you out. First of all you should install some virtual machines. You can get VirtualBox for free or you can use the built in "Windows Virtual PC" if you're using Windows 7. Basically what this does is it let's you create as many "virtual computers" as you like. I am personally only using two, one is for spying at LeadImpact and the other one for TrafficVance.

Now once you have installed the virtual machines, you're ready to drop some software on them to see the pops. If you want to see LI's popups you have to install their hotbar toolbar. Head over to hotbar.com and play any game. You then see the download for their toolbar. Download and install it in your virtual box and you're ready to go.

For TrafficVance you have to do a google search for GameVance and click on the SPONSORED ADS to get the download. Or the simply way, take any gamevance offer from your preferred network and visit the preview link. Once there you can't play without installing the software. Once installed you have to wait at least 24h before any pops are serverd. Good luck.

Exactly what PPVnewbie said!

- Also if your interested in seeing ads from MediaTraffic.com then you need to install Vomba Screensavers
- The only thing is; when Ive installed the TrafficVance/MediaTraffic software myself in the past it's taken almost 4 days before any ads started showing. So sometimes it'll take a bit more time.
- I'm not trying to advocate software, but for some reason if you have $350 to blow then http://beta.bevomedia.com/ makes a nice PPV spy tool (i tihnk you have to make a login to see the software available), it works, but it's not worth the $350/month when starting out. I recommend the method above.
