Power Editor In Browser (Google Chrome). Do you see A PROBLEM?

Didn't mean to create another thread on power editor here but I think I should address this issue directly.

Does anyone see a problem with the use of power editor?

It's for you to manage your multiple accounts all in ONE browser, ONE ip, and the same cookies.

Does this raise a red flag to Facebook on people that are using multiple credit cards (whether on the same/different name or address)? I mean, Facebook just don't want you to create anymore account once your account has been banned.

Does this power editor will give them more information on all the accounts that you inserted onto this power editor thus giving them insights to link the accounts together and ban you?

From what I read from their help desk, this is the concern raised on me. I'm not sure if you see the same thing, and if you do/don't, please share your thought here too.

I may be wrong but any input is most welcome!

I just don't want to give Facebook anymore chance to take down our very "hard-earned" accounts, if you know what I mean.

i dont know anyone that isnt an agency with multiple clients that has access to this tool.

my view on the multiple account thing -> this is build into facebook ads and used a lot by agencies.

Look at any of the big 3rd party ads api tools. All have that feature.

That way you can as an agency have 1 account per customer.

This is critical for all agencies.

So I dont think this is about catching us out.

If someone is worried about it... you could always do a test, and create two new accounts and use the Power Editor for those accounts only, and see what happens?

This way if one/both gets banned, they were new and only created for that purpose.

Tijn this tool has been opened to public so even my rarely spent account got this feature.

Opening new fb ad accounts is a pain in the ass. I don't wanna lose mine at any chance anymore so it's always good to be careful...

Awesome that that tool is now live.

What did you do to get access?

Hey tijn, I think its open to everyone by default...I got it even in my new account. There's a link in the ads interface (on the left) which says 'Power Editor'.

i dont think this product is safe if you are using multiple alias accounts as its a sure fire way to get them linked together.

tijn... Sorry to see that.

@shoent
Yeah I am not using it at the moment too. Better safe than sorry. But what Tijn says might be true also. As this is only an "extension" of Chrome and agency usually handle multiple accounts so there is a chance that they do not have the intention to "catch" multiple account users.

My case, I'm on the same tracking domain, and same address on 2 accounts so I would rather not risk it until power editor becomes prevalent...
