Hi guys
I'd like to know if there's a way to fully hide my domain details. I know there is a privacy service in many of the domain registration sites but they always leave the dns details for people who try to "whois" the domain....
Is there any way to avoid it?
Thanks
"WhoisGuard" works for me.
thanks man but i just spoke to their support and they told me that they do expose the dns details
WhoisGuard doesn't obscure the DNS servers so yeah you can work through things and find the server IP the domain name is associated with, the primary domain and hosting company - but I don't think you can get to any personal information unless your hosting company has these out in the open.
i don't know how to do it but i know people who can get contact information just from knowing the dns ...there must be a way to protect it
I don't know why you want to hide the dns information because even if the registrar didn't provide it - it would be really easy to figure it out. Just ping the domain name and I get the ip's and then I can do a reverse ip check and find all the domains on the ip.
If you really want to hide your whois information - you can try - http://www.mediaon.com/Real-Whois-Protection
You could also just register the domain under a false name, pay with a paypal account under that name, etc
not sure what the issue is here but just use a 3rd party dns provider....and do a private reg.....
