FB Account Limit Increased

I went from a newb account to a slightly less newb account today as my FB daily account limit got increased from $50 to $250.

And that's not the only thing that has changed. All my CTR's have SHOT up!

An ad I was only getting 0.071% CTR on before, I am now getting roughly 0.233% and my frequency has dropped down to 2.

Have I been opened up to a whole new load of inventory?

Can someone more experienced please explain to me what's going on? I would just like to know FB's methodology behind it...

Account history/standing has an influence on the bids you need to be placed higher in the ad list, as far as I understand. So, as a more established advertiser with good performance history (i.e. it so happens users like your ads), FB will give your ads higher placement than some virgin account all other things being equal. If you didn't change your bids then I would think your account gained rank a bit and now the ads moved above the fold or higher in the ad column, picked up in CTR, then as a result started being delivered to a greater reach, etc.

That or some other advertisers stopped ads and that made yours move up.
