I started in mobile around 2 months ago, it was just dabbling in, spent a few hundred and made nothing but wasn't 100% serious about it.
Fast forward to ASW, met up with a good friend of mine that was holding a private pay per call event(and met some STM people there as well).
Mind = Blown
The NEW PPC, Pay-Per-Call, has been around for a few years but it's still in infancy. People I know personally pulling in from a single campaign 1,000% ROI
I started advertising on adcenter and have a good campaign set up but the traffic is barely there. It's a $300-$500/month campaign but hey, I'm only spending $70-$100 to get there so no complaining.
Goal
Conquer one traffic source [Adwords]
Why?
-Always done better perfecting one traffic source
-Takes 10,000 hours to become a master of something right?
$$$ Goal is $1,000/day
Deadline is April 1st to hit that goal(being generous of course
)
I cannot really give an ad example or offer because my campaign is really direct, so not looking to have anyone directly copying me.
Networks using right now
Direct-Calls(Owned by XY7Elite)
Looking to get into LinkShare and CJ right now as well, to hit up broader niche campaigns. Found a really great niche offer from DirectCalls that actually helps people so I definitely WILL blow it up..
Targeting
WAP - US Only
SmartPhones - US Only
Tablets - US Only
All bids start at $1 as well, moved accordingly to traffic/roi

Ohhweee Pay Per Call & Adwords mobile traffic, those are key ingredients for a very interesting dish. I likeee.

I'm going to have a few more campaigns made tonight with WAP traffic and will update them here once it's approved.
Update
Everything is approved but getting impressions is slow. Looking to do this purely on WAP for this case study.
Something I'm learning about Pay-per-call, at least for me. I've noticed, there's a ton of opportunity however you need to know to either scale one big campaign or make a bunch of little ones. I'm still REALLY new to paypercall, so this is what I've noticed at the start.
Here's the AWESOME part!

No clicks
, but getting a few impression. This isn't a bad thing though, my max cpc is $20 so if a call is under let's say 2 minutes, then you don't get paid. However on WAP ads, they can copy your number and dial it themselve. So! You never pay for the call. There is benefits to this(free traffic) but I do think it might hurt you because of lower ctr. But I'm not complaining.

At the moment, this campaign is generating $20-80/day in traffic and the roi ranges from 100% to 2000%(or more). Nothing spectacular but what if you had 20 of this set up?

Nice start man. Are you able to replicate this a bunch of times? If not you should definitely take a dive into a large lake to hit your 1k a day goal.
Ooo so if you mention "dont click this ad, dial the number" you get free traffics for real!
Yeah, wish I could say don't click the ad haha.
Not sure if I'm able to replicate a bunch of times, I've got around 800 keywords with max cpc of 20$ through google autobid. With adwords, I usually spend the premium at first to get initial traffic and then start optimizing later. Cheaper clicks with higher ctr of course.
Really want to hit 1k/day with adwords alone, so need to branch out into different angles right now. Goal is probably to get a bunch of 1-2 lead a day campaigns at 100% roi then make a one huge one. Just for the sake of having more angles and data for this follow-along.
Have more results
Will post later tonight once everything is done for the day but I can definitely say things are looking good.
Keep us posted!

Bumped budget to 400 tomorrow. Things looking good. People are placing calls without even clicking, which generates AWESOME free traffic. Something to think about.
I've not optimized this campaign at all, so there's a TON of potential.
This is really interesting. I thought about doing pay per call but have other things on my plate at the moment. This follow along shows that there is money in pay per call for sure.

I'm waiting right now to get more phone numbers so I can start optimizing. Things are looking pretty good though. It's breakeven without optimizing. Just need to have direct-calls approve me for more phone numbers(you get 5 at the start per campaign, they cost them money so they only want serious people using more numbers).

Just what a little optimizing can do...

Working to get more numbers with Direct-Calls, I feel like this can be a 5 figure/day campaign once I get things figured out.
Tino, couple of questions as I'm not really familiar with Pay per call campaigns...
1. Do Direct-Calls pay weeklies for $1k + volume? Monthly ? (I know CJ pay net 30)
2. Does Google Adwords allow you to run direct-linking campaigns without getting your account banned?
3. On what parameters do you optimize a pay-per-call campaigns?
I'm assuming search keywords and mobile carriers right?
What tracking system are you using for this ?
for adwords, I'm strictly doing WAP traffic only with click to call. To optimize, you would break the keywords into smaller adgroups to figure which is the best performing.
DirectLinking is perfectly allowed however I'm doing pay per call, not pay per click. So I pay for everytime someone clicks(even if it's by accident or less then time I need to get paid).
As far as weeklies are, I'm not sure. I'll contact Kevin to get this cleared up.
(Direct-Calls is the tracking I'm using however you can use 202/cpvlab and use the pixel to fire each time a call is registered)
Great follow along Tino! Can't wait till you get to $1k a day
