Full circle back to POP.... (6)

Full circle back to POP....

Hey guys and girls!

Just thought I'd create this follow along since it's been a while since I last ran pop and I figured I'll need all the help I can get to get re-acquinted.

Quick history, I used to run sweeps on pop/push a while back but transitioned to FB and ran sweeps there. Was doing pretty decent there until the last couple of months where FB just went ban hammer crazy and I could barely run anything.

Now I'm back to running pops but I'm looking to run CPI offers like cleaners or VPNs. I tried running a cleaner offer in BR on PopAds but that ended pretty horribly.

So before I venture further, can I please ask the experts here the following questions:
1. Is CPI offers still viable on pop? If yes, what networks have the most CPI offers?
2. What traffic sources are good at the moment? I know of PopAds and PropellerAds

Thanks!

Hey @impian

1. Is CPI offers still viable on pop? If yes, what networks have the most CPI offers?
Yes, they are.

CPI offers are often available for many different countries and they have an easy flow so they can work very good with pop traffic.

Downside is that they sometimes/often have a rather hard KPI.
When your quality isn´t good enough you get paused from the offer.

Check out Zeydoo, they have lots of CPI offers.

2. What traffic sources are good at the moment? I know of PopAds and PropellerAds
When you´re with Propeller Ads already start there.

Thanks for the recommendation! I've just signed up to them..so it looks like they don't have an AM that I can speak to? And I have to speak to their support chat to get offer recommendations?

I've also started testing on PropellerAds as you suggested but I've been away from them for too long so I'm not really familiar with their new features.

Do I start with SmartCPM or CPA goal? Also, when I create my popunder campaign..do I also create an interstitial camp since that is what they recommend?

Actually it is pretty easy to find good offers on Zeydoo by yourself. Just have a look at the top bar thumbnails or click "top offers" in the offer list menu.

Maybe it will take a few days until some AM hits you up on Skype. Would not worry about that....

I would start with smart cpm to test the waters. Once you see potential you can additionally try cpa goal.

Cpa goal algo gives you a bunch of good and expensive traffic in the beginning. So you could experience quite some red for a few hours or even a day. That could well be worth it if you really know that the offer is working with propeller's traffic.

Interstitials can be really great tho in many cases they are not. Same here... test them separately before you go with a combined package.

Also... when you add interstitials to a cpa goal camp it uses your lander as an image to show to the user. Can work in some geos. However in most cases it is better to use "real" creatives for interstitials. Also it is worth testing the different designs.

Thanks @larsometer for the tips.

I just tried smartCPM after reading your post but unfortunately, the results were pretty bad. Spent $32 and only 1 conversion so ROI was -95%.

When I tried CPA goal, the results were slightly better..spent $27 and made $12 revenue so ROI was -56%.

Not sure if its an issue with the offers I'm trying but will test new ones and will update again.

Could be many things.... without knowing the details it is impossible to tell.

You could however check if the zones that converted on cpa goal also were getting traffic in your smart cpm campaign.

That would give you an idea if difference is coming from either bidding or timing.
