Got my first conversion within a few hours, yay!
I'm so pleased to say I got my first conversion on my first proper campaign today running desktop on push. I had heard how rare it is to get a conversion on the first day and wasn't too hopeful to get one, especially since it's a decent payout of $28. I followed vortex's pop guide and twinaxe's push guide and combined elements of both.
I think the secret sauce is the fact I'm using pretty aggressive creatives and lander because through spying I could see that's what works. I already started optimising a little because I could see right off the bat that Windows 10 and Chrome browsers were getting way more clicks through to the offer. I hope I didn't mess up by doing that but we will see how it goes.
Im targeting new subscribers and premium placements so I can find my winning funnel, still collecting the data on the creatives.
Lets goooo

Congrats to your success. Always feels very good to get the first conversion. Then you have proof that things can be working. Also you now know that your setup works.
The last point is gold. Because when you get no conversions it can be quite a hard time to find the reason for it.

I guess it is a bit too early to really know what was the factor for your success. Sometimes really odd things can work. Other times you can get into trouble for going too aggressive.
But for sure the more you try the higher are your chances to make something work for you.

Congrats on your first conversion, that's always the first great achievement to make!

This might or might not be a good idea

I understand why you would do that, but in the end, you should always optimize towards conversions and not higher clicks, CTR or anything like that.
With higher payout offers, it's quite common to try and optimize the campaign early on and it's true that since the conversions tend to come in slowly, you're left with the click data to optimize by. But don't go too heavy here, it's ok to cut the worst performing ones as you really need as many clicks to the offer as possible, but unfortunately it often works the other way around and the lower performers (in terms of CTR) can actually produce more conversions.
To sum it up... you definitely want to get rid of the combinations that produce VERY BAD clickthrough rates but try to optimize based on actual conversions in the end.

Yes that's true I hope I don't get into trouble. I may test some less aggressive stuff too because I'll never know if i don't try.

Yeah I was thinking that, so I added more browsers in again for now just to get some more data, thank you for your advice.

Woohoo! Congrats on your first conversion! It's definitely not common for pop/push newbies to make $28 on their first conversion. Great beginning to a great journey!
Running aggressive definitely works. Finding that sweet spot where you're JUST pushing the boundaries but still getting most of your campaigns approved on the platform is where the money is.
There's nothing terribly wrong with optimizing early. Pro = you can potentially reach profits sooner. Con = you can potentially restrict your profits. Actually for something with such a high payout, I would suggest to target the best traffic possible and to optimize quickly. That way you lose less money while testing creatives (landers+ads) to find your winning funnel.
All the best!
