Pay Per Call - Click 2 Call - is anyone getting any success with it?

From AWE I kept hearing people talk about pay per call (PPC) Click 2 Call (C2C) - both are the same. basically, it is creating an ad to a lander and the user clicks the call button and it opens their phone app and they click to call on their phone, which then brings them to an agent. I have not been able to get it going in my favor and it seems like if I do get some calls they do not last long enough to convert as a payout. I want to survey if anyone has had success with it... currently doing it within the health insurance niche. my ads are getting good CTRs but I am thinking to just go back to lead gen.

I have tried to run some pay per call offers in the past, and only got ROI with "Click to call ads" with Bing and Google.

Only mobile,

Click on the ad = call

Brand bidding on flight deals, super black-hats, and goodbye accounts ...

I'm sure there are better and safer methods, but sadly, I have yet to discover them...

I think that here on the forum there are the guys from marketcall network to which you can ask for more info.

I have read marketcall thread here but I am doing the same thing with landers but not doing well at all. I will have to try the google bing C2C, I did it with Facebook and it bombed
