Hello STM Forum,

My name is Finn, I am 19 years old, I live in the Netherlands and I am pretty new in this industry. I just started working at AffiMedia and my function is to support the SMS team. We do a lot of traffic also in big numbers. We set-up campaigns with pre-landers and offers so that people leave their information and we can get paid, u know the drill.

The thing is Ineed to do some research and I want to ask u guys for help. My question is which products are the best to run on SMS besides iPad, Samsung and iPhone. We need some new stuff because we used the three products so much and it's time for something new! I hope you guys can help me with it and I am looking forward to your response.

Have you tried any vouchers? I see these promoted a lot. Depending on the GEO, you would choose a large outlet or store brand such as Tesco, Wallmart, Costco, Lidl... there are several big brands in any country.

Financial could also do well... personal loans, credits, insurance...

I've been targeted with MANY mobile carriers offers too... cheaper plans, bigger data plans, new devices at discounts etc...

Thank you for your reaction! Yes we are now very busy searching for new stuff and we are now setting up vouchers to. With insurance u mean health and car insurance I think? Or do u use more? What do u precisely mean with credits? Maybe personal loans is a good one indeed. Yes, car insurance and medical insurance seem to be the most popular two. But there is also house insurance, personal injury insurance etc...

I mean the credit score repair type of offers.

I'm getting these via SMS all the time. My number landed in some DB unfortunately, so I get quite a bit of these offers via SMS. Basically, they try to make me switch from one carrier to the next.

I never heard of that before to be honest. Is that something international or does only a few countries have that? And why would people want that?

Oh unfortunately for you.. But it sounds very interesting. Then u could make a offer like switch to our carrier and get a discount or get a new phone right? or what does these type of messages say?

First question I would ask is: How was the SMS database collected? Are you promoting to a broad audience or one or more niche audiences?

Then you can match broad-appeal offers to the broad audience, and niche products/services to niche audiences.

We are doing all the niches that bring us enough conversions so that is what I am searching for. The data we have is from a lot of different companies and third parties. So we have data for all the niches. The thing is we need some new products/niches that work or that are trending as today. Thank you for your reaction and help!

Yes, these guys have direct deals with the specific carriers and they contact random people with various offers in order to make them switch over.

So far I have been offered: new phone and a cheaper plan, 2 more phones that I could hand out to family members, new tablet with a data plan, flat screen TV at a discount... they can get very creative
