I'm running a direct linked camp right now and I'm noticing something really fishy. My high CTR ads are not converting at all while almost all of my low CTR ads are making all the money.
The problem of course is that even though the low CTR ads are slightly profitable, I'm losing out on a lot of money because the other ones should be raking it in.
Now, I've seen this phenomenon happen before but not to this extent. I'd almost swear that the advertiser is using some kind of script to control which ads convert but I'm not sure if this is possible or if they'd do something like this.
Thoughts?
getting same question on dating. i guess the high ctr img is too sexy/exposed. so when the fb users click that img and redirected to the offers page. did not see any similars sexy targets then closed the page.
Sometimes you have is always a balance between good ctr vs conversion rate, for example if you're using weird/wacky images that scream WTF = they will gain high ctr's but the quality of the clicks might be shit and just curious vs your lower ctr images which are related to the offer giving a better conversion rate.
Ya this could be the thing. When users see sexy chick, they give their clicks for HER, but when they're at your lander or offer page, they are like... "eh where the f is the girl?"...
This happens to me a lot of time too. High CTR images not necessary would bring you highest conversion rate.
The key is, keep TRACK of everything.
