Advice on approaching Affiliate Networks

Everyone,

I applied to Peerfly and had a couple of brief email exchanges with Luke (affiliate manager), however, my application was denied. It's a little perplexing because the application is essentially name, address etc - not much criteria to deny on.

In any case, I have emailed Charlie (applications manager) twice to ask about reasoning as well as to plead my case and I have had no response.

So my questions are twofold:

1.) Should I try with a different network? If so, which one do you recommend?
2.) If I should keep working to change the outcome on my Peerfly application, how should I go about it at this point?

One of the things I am doing is setting up a small site that will act as an umbrella for my affiliate activities as well as provide a form of professional credibility - i.e. - I am trying to make a legitimate business out of this.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Dustin

it's a bit of a chicken and egg problem. i say fake it till you make it, google "how to get approved affiliate network" to get a feel for what they're looking for and approach affiliate managers that are active here on STM

there are some friendly networks when it comes to new guys.....wolfstorm, EWA.....I won't lie if your not USA,CA,UK,AU based it can be tough.....lotta fraud in the CPA space and networks get burned....so just be honest mention your a member of STM in your app.....often that can help understand who you really are

What verticals are you interested in? Some networks are better than others with specific verticals. Especially with affiliate managers - some will specialise in certain areas and will be actively running their own campaigns, so might be better suited to help you out with offers and such.

there's no need to setup a site just to get approved..just enter nosite.com or your fb profile :-) ...and definitely be honest about you and your business...don't try to tell them stuff that isn't true...

i think the most importan part is to be proactiv..fill out your application and then try to contact them via email/phone/messenger. i think thats the most important part because it gives them the opportunity to talk to you and find out what you are doing, what are your plans, why you picked them and so on...i'm from germany myself so i don't think the country is problem and it never took me longer than 24 hours to get into a network. although there are some networks that are stricter with approvals (Neverblue, Clickbooth etc..) so i would go with EWA, Wolfstorm first...

EDIT: And make sure to do some research on http://www.affpaying.com/ and Google, STM, WF before you sign up to a network..there are a lot of fishy networks out there..
