B-Roll Footage - Where can I find them? (2)
Hi All, for a lot of B-Roll footage like this https://m.tiktok.com/v/7054621812809846017.html
A lot of lead gen seems to use B-Roll footage like this and I'm wondering how people find this.
How does one find this kind of footage to repurpose for TikTok/FB/any video ads? I was thinking through YouTube and then just resizing it.
I know there are affiliates repurposing youtube vids for tiktok ads.
It can be done. But if those ads are found by the owner, the affiliate can be sued for copyright infringement. (And of course if anyone reports the ads within Tiktok, they'll get taken down, and I don't know if account status would be affected.)

Granted, for an ad that will probably only stay up for a few days, the risks of it being found and reported may be smaller than for organic content that will stick around long-term.
Which is why some affiliates are doing it.
But the risk is there, especially if you're running lots of campaigns using lots of creatives.
Of course, you can also acquire this type of footage legally.

b)I suppose you could call up a small solar installation company/contractor and ask to tag along on one of their jobs. Maybe offer to buy them lunch? Or give them a copy of the footage for them to use for promotion purposes? You'd essentially be their free cameraman for a day (or a couple hours depending on their workflow and what you're wanting to capture). That's what I would try. 
I hope someone will start a service that sells amateur videos (not the porn variety lol) and not the professional-looking stock vids. And also vids that are in portrait and not landscape orientation like 99% of them are...
If anyone knows of a service like that, please do let me know!
