I'm currently running a Mexican dating offer on Facebook. CPM for Mexico is extremely cheap, so my affiliate friend recommended that I only bid CPM in countries like this. Well the CPM is cheap, but the payout is only $0.45 (which is why I haven't been bidding CPC). I've bid CPM in all of my ads except for one, which I bid CPC. That one CPC ad has gotten the most clicks and the highest CTR (0.176).
THe main reason I'm asking is because of this: http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...highlight=kill
(Inversion posted a chart in another thread, but I can't find it). Basically, the chart says to kill an ad if you're 80% confident it wont achieve a 0.10% CTR. When applying this chart, is it the same if you use CPC and CPM? Why did I get SO many more clicks and such a higher CTR when I bid CPC instead of CPM?
I assume you're talking mexico and that you're running be2MX.. Running only CPM is a BS response... Run it CPC and make sure your creatives can get >0.12% CTR... CPC traffic is always higher than CPM traffic...
Thanks for the response.
yeah I'm talking about be2mx. I just put up a new campaign bidding CPC, (Split testing CPC vs. CPM).
