Thanks! I wrote up the story, including the claims, without checking references...just freeflow writing. Later on I went through each claim and Googled "[claim] study". First search result was usually the perfect study.

So far I sent over 200 clicks (Revcontent), but the tracker only registered about 80. I added a couple new scripts to the page...maybe one of them is causing an issue?

What do you use for tracking and whats the setup?

Are you ending clicks from revcontent directly to the tracking url? If so, the scripts on the actual website shouldn't interfere with this, since the tracker records the click before it even hits the website.

Some clickloss is normal, but 200 to 80 is HUGE loss.

Are you checking the same timeframe? Quite often, the different timezones used are causing this.

Or are you using something like google analytics to track the visits, that usually shows way less clicks than the traffic platforms report.

Or maybe you are reading the stats wrong? Those 80 clicks are actually visits to the LP or is that an amount of clicks recorded on the CBD and other CTA links/buttons?

Let us know

This is Voluum DSP's Revcontent traffic, and I use Thrive as a tracker.

Voluum DSP is closing, and it looks like they already refunded me my balance $... so I'll be moving it to a different traffic source.

No unfortunately those are not clicks to the offers... That would be awesome

Few clicks from this campaign were recorded at the affiliate networks.

Upon further inspection it looks like the click loss was occurring even before I introduced this advertorial. Before it we had a very light landing page that introduces the back-stretch VSL.

ahhh...found the problem. On Thrive tracker we have a systemwide IP filter that has been blocking out a lot of clicks since March. It is filtering out specific IP's as well as groups of IP's: by using the first numbers in the IP and then ending with a wildcard *

It was an incorrectly placed rule. Should be all cleared up now.

Hey jacekplacek!

Love that you're calling out conservatives in this offer. I write for that space often. I think this is a solid advertorial.

Here's my review...

1. The HL is solid. Calls out prospect and confirms their suspicions. But of course, split testing with other options would be smart.

2. I would recommend changing your opening line. It comes off boring and as a fact everyone kind of knows. This might turn readers off.

Start with something shocking and surprising. One idea is to start with the Trump supporters fact on line 4. That's something they probably don't know but is something that will emotionally charge them to read more.

3. I'd also recommend digging in deeper in the pain of being stuck in this drug loop in the lead. Expand on the consequences and how it might make them feel. Again, the goal is to bring them from a logical state to an emotional state

4. When you're transitioning to 'my story', right before that, open up a loop. Aka something like '...or make a fortune charging Obamacare. But the truth is: There is an easy way to relieve your back pain without relying on drugs or spending thousands on doctors visits. I'm going to reveal this simple trick for you in just a minute, but first let me tell you who I am.

5. It's a bit confusing to have 2 things. People generally want ONE quick fix. So telling them they have to do both might turn people off.

But of course this is something only a test can give you a definite answer too.

If you can, test out 3 versions: Just CBD, just Emily Lark and this version.

Other than that, I love the angle! Would love to know how the test performs. Hope this helps - lmk if you have any follow up questions

I don't remember installing it...hmm... am checking with my partner about this...the blacklist may have been a request from an offer or network (?)

Will update when I have more info...
I have never had an advertiser asking me to block IP ranges on my end. Usually, when they don't want some traffic, they block or redirect it themselves.

Blocking IP ranges is quite aggressive too, there can be whole office buildings or living blocks behind shared IPs.

Usually, when I block something at the IP level, it's when there is some heavy bot activity going on or something like that. Maybe you wanted to clean your traffic this way and just misconfigured the setup?

One way or another, I'm glad you could detect the problem... how much of an impact did it have on the loss, what are the numbers looking like now @jacekplacek ?

Hey ProjectZero!

I SUPER appreciate the review!! I love all of the suggestions and will be implementing them.

At this moment here is my plan:
Get some more testing done on Voluum DSP, while its available.
The benefit of DSP is that it's cheaper to test lots of creatives vs going direct. I added some more ads so there are 64 now.

I believe that they will stop accepting new creatives in a few days, so I'm loading up a few new campaigns to test out.

Then take the winners directly to Revcontent...

Yup, this is exactly what happened.
