Push CPC

Does Push traffic sources award you with a lower CPC when you get a high CTR?

In my experience, not really.

If your CTR is good, the algo will reward you with more clicks, but it doesn't seem to affect the CPC much, if at all. I don't think the average push networks have algo advanced enough to work this way.

It works like this with google ads for example, but with push... I doubt it.

@twinaxe what's your observation here?

At Noviclick you will get more traffic with a high CTR but your CPC will be the same.

You won´t get a better CPC directly, no matter how good your CTR is.

When you set a bid you will pay that CPC, when your CTR is very high you will receive more traffic.

If you want to have a lower CPC you need to lower your bid.

You can still receive enough traffic then when your CTR is high enough to still run na competitive eCPM for the traffic source.

I only know two potential exception where your cpc actually does change. Both have in common that you don't bid fixed cpc (so no contradiction to the other posts).

First is cpa goal bidding. There the algo tries to find the best bid for matching your target cpa. When you have a really good ctr AND a good converting offer your effective cpc will go down. Then it can happen that your ROI is higher than what you would see at target cpa. In a way you actually get "rewarded" there.

Second is "smart cpc" bidding. Theoretically you should win more auctions at a lower bid when you have above average ctr. In the end the traffic sources want to see a high cpm.
