What's the best image optimization tool?
Quick question, I need to optimize a ton of images and I'm looking for the best tool, preferably with an online interface.
I need to maintain high image quality but aim for the smallest possible file sizes.
For now, I'm optimizing with photoshop but somehow I cannot drive the file sizes down enough.
I have tried https://tinypng.com/ and https://kraken.io/ so far... both work pretty good, just wanted to check with you guys whether someone knows a better tool.
Thanks for all suggestions

If price isn't an issue, kraken.io has been my go-to for many years. Particularly good for PNG optimisation.
Between the above and TinyPNG however, I think most differences will be quite marginal -- esp if compared to saving via Photoshop or not optimising at all.

Well, the pricing of kraken.io is not that bad, I don't need to optimize that many so even one of the lower plans should be enough.
I've run some tests and looks like I can achieve the best results when I first optimize the image a bit in photoshop, then run it through kraken.io.
When optimizing the large/original image directly in kraken.io, the optimized image is bigger in size (kb) from some reason and the quality is pretty much the same as with the 2-step process.
tinypng produces very similar results btw, tested that with a bunch of images and I can't really tell the difference by looking at the screen with my eyes.
Kraken.io has an easy option to change the dimensions of the photos too, I think with tinypng you would have to use their API, so that's one more point for kraken.

I use Kraken.io most of the time. They have a lots of plugins for the main CMS, like WordPress, that automatically connect to their system and compress all sizes of wordpress images when you upload them. Very convenient.
For JPG, tinyjpg.com has a better compression rate than Kraken.io (like 30% less) when i tried it last week, which surprised me. They have a PhotoShop plugin, which you may be able to use with PhotoShop Automate / Batch function.
At the end of the day, it depends of what you mean by "a ton" and if it is a recurring problem or a one-off optimization.
