Hi,
I have a business in affiliate marketing. (Just now starting it) I have my opt in page & email autoresponder all set up with
a list of 4 products so far loaded into my email autoresponder.
Im looking to start marketing/making videos on tiktok like you guys suggested in a previous post/topic
I just learned you can get a tiktok business account
Is there any benefit to getting a business account if you are a brand new affiliate and havent even
made your first affiliate sale yet, or even made your first tiktok video yet? (This is my current situation)
Do I have to have a certain sized amount of followers on tiktok before I can change my
personal tiktok account over to a business account?
I was looking online for what exact tabs "buttons" to click to get to the settings part where business is an option. (I didnt see it yet)
Maybe because I dont have any followers yet?
Also, If I make a tiktok video of something off in the background (a forest and video of a lot of trees for instance) can I
put my opt in page url on the screen for my tiktok video while my video is playing.
Thank you so much in advance for all your great advice. Its all new to me, but I know you guys will make short work of this. Thank you!
P.S. One more thing, If I start out on tiktok with a regular personal account or whatever its called when you first start,
will my videos be unusable/deleted or anything like that if I later switch to a business account?
Which is better for an affiliate trying to get people to an opt in page? A regular account, or a business account? If I do switch to
a business account later on, can I keep my same tiktok username I currently have when I first signed up for tiktok? (My current
username relates to my business website/log in page, its the same name as the url on my opt in page) if that matters.
Thanks again

I'm still just starting out with TikTok and my reserch might not be 100% accurate, so take it with a grain of salt.
Let me tag some more experience tiktokkers here now, they should be able to share more info: @jack_l @jaybot @ScottyG
This is what I understand about the accounts:
There is "personal" and "pro"... the Pro account can be either "creators" or "businesses".
The personal account is just for personal use, so to speak. There is very limited stats available, you can't even have a clickable link in your bio etc...
The creator and business accounts give you more insights and options.
One thing to keep in mind here, we are still just talking about a TikTok account, so the app itself. You cannot run regular Ads with this account, I think it's only possible to boost a tiktok video through these accounts.
To run real Ads, you need a TikTok Ads manager account that you can create here: https://ads.tiktok.com/

I would suggest to just make the switch to a business account. I haven't found any downside to doing this. And you can switch back to a personal account at any time.
Switching to a business account means you get features that will help you to promote your business, such as allowing you to put an url in your profile.
And you can switch at any time - no need to reach a certain number of followers.
To switch:
-tap on your profile
-tap on the hamburger (3-line) menu at the top right
-choose settings & privacy
-choose manage account
-choose switch to business account
Your username won't be affected, and neither will your vids.
As for putting your url in the videos themselves: You can do that, but to get people to go there you'd need to do more. I would also suggest that you spend a good few hours initially to browse vids on your feed, to see how other people promote various sites. There are a million and one ways to do this - learning how to get people to take action is what marketing is all about, and is something you'll need to spend many hours to research and learn, and through trial and error as you produce lots of videos to find out what works and what doesn't

We appreciate your questions, but please don't post the same question twice - I just replied to your other post and then saw this.
I'll try to merge the two threads later when I get to my desktop...

Thanks guys, the double question was a mistake on my part. I only wanted to change my original headline to include
the word "tiktok" in it since I forgot to add that on the original title. I copy and pasted my original questions and pasted
them under the new headline. Sorry for that, my mistake. Thank you for the tips. Much appreciated!
