How to sell my e-book about anxiety
Hello fellow marketeers,
I wrote a e-book about anxiety and i want to try to sell it online.
The lander is pretty striking with a lot of red lines.
So i made a google ad and a few hours later my ad account was blocked because they don't like the lander.
So my question is: What traffic sources can i use best to gain traffic to my lander without being blocked.
Or what can i do to use google ads/Bing anyway?
Thanks in advance!

How to sell my e-book about anxiety
Can you please show us your lander? Maybe we can figure out what it is that they don't like. What was the exact reason for the account ban that they gave?
As for other traffic sources: You can try social (FB, Tiktok etc.), youtube, maybe native. Even push traffic may be worth a test, since anxiety is pretty wide spread. Around 20% of American have an anxiety disorder for example.

Well the biggest place to sell ebooks is ... No surprise Amazon.
Not really sure you can make that much though, either seeking directly or on Amazon, unless you are using it as a lead magnet for selling a higher values or continuity product on the back end.

Amazon IS a great place to sell ebooks! But it can be hard to get even a little piece of that traffic, without any ranking, unless you drive traffic yourself.
I think I still have a couple of books I had ghost-written that are very high quality, which I never had the time to promote. Only got a couple of purchases over a few years.

I have published 2 ebooks on Amazon (KDP) a few years ago. One was a total flop, the other sold a few hundred copies.
My information might be a bit outdated, but I think the following tips can still help you. And as others have already mentioned... Amazon is the place to go.
1. Reviews are a MUST HAVE
Without reviews your book is basically invisible.
Tell all your friends and family to "buy" your book and write a review.
2. Pre-promote your book on social media
Find Facebook groups that are related to your book's topic. Participate in the group and help people. Then involve people in your book project...like asking them for topics and which cover they like and so on.
Nobody needs to know that your book is already finished
3. Use Amazon promotions
Not sure if it still exists... but back then it was possible to set price to zero for a few days or give huge discount.
Promoting a free book on social media can improve your ranking on Amazon quite a lot.
Also you could use it as a present for all the people who helped you on no. 2.
4. Become an expert
Youtube, Quora, Medium etc. allow you to present yourself as an expert in your field.
All you need to do is to post stuff regularly. And yes... it will take quite some time to get traction.
Good thing is that it can be dope for networking. With a bit of luck you can team up with other "experts" and cross promote each other.
5. Traffic Sources
I am not sure whether bing/google is the best way. When people want a book they search in a book store (online or offline).
When they want help for a complex problem like anxiety they either join forums / groups on social media or are looking for an expert.
So... I would rather try to promote your book on social media channels.
You find lot of material for TikTok here. Maybe it is worth a try for you.

Thank u for the information. It's a Dutch e-book and Amazon is pretty small here. I will try bol.com ( It's the Amazon in the Netherlands)

Why not get it translated into EN and open much bigger markets?

I had same thinking... but was wrong in my case.
Could hardly sell it in DE. International was way easier tho.

This is definitely not the right way of thinking. Take just US as an example.
NL and US are sooo different... people in the US are way more used to seeking help to fix their "mental/psychological" issues, the market for related books is massive compared to EU.
Here in my country, going to see a psychologist equals to public humiliation, literally. In the US it's absolutely normal. That's where your audience is.
On top of that, having the book translated to EN opens many more markets, not just the US.

Didn't know you had experience with writing and selling books
Was more of a passion project and getting my message out. Didn't regard it as a business back then.
But... I do love writing.
Later I made some good money on the Quora Partner Program, got a top writer award, but finally pushed it a bit too much
Maybe should write another book one day and not just push it but make it real good.

What Vortex said: 20% of the people has dealed with anxiety so i think theres a big group that will read my book. Dealing it anxiety for years i know what works and what won't so i think this book will really help people. And it will help me generate some profit.

You know what it's like, sometimes following ones passion is also the route to financial success!
but finally pushed it a bit too much
As in? You got of the route?

There will always be an audience for really good books, I'm sure about it, go for it!

I found out that "good" writing alone does not bring you readers.
So I programmed scrapers in order to analyze what people want to read.
Then I found out that new posts need a kickstart. My computer helped me here as well.
Finally I managed to bring new readers to the platform at economic cost. Couldn't control the growth well enough and got a bit too successful.
There will always be an audience for really good books, I'm sure about it, go for it!
Once I know how to make even a mediocre book visible to the masses I might give another try. Would love to see my ghostwriter name on the billboards one day.
