clickbank and fb fan page question

Do you need a fan page on fb with good content to then promote a clickbank product??
or can one just set up an ad and run it regardless of credibility?

Many people are running clickbank products with paid traffic, which doesn't require any website or social media page in order to work.

Clickbank does ask about current traffic/following during the signup process, so I guess it could help to have something in place before applying, but it shouldn't be a must... in case you can properly explain that you are about to work with paid traffic.

But generally speaking, having something active online can help opening a few doors, the approval people like to verify that you are an active marketing person and not someone trying to just create an account for fun.

You can do it either or both ways.

Putting in the effort to build credibility first, will obviously be more work, but then when you DO promote the product, conversion rates would be higher.

If you don't put in that initial effort to build trust, you can still use tactics in your ad and landing page to build trust instantaneously. It just may not work as well as when you build rapport over a period of time.

Also: You can build trust over time even with paid ads - by retargeting the same audience with different ads over time (even across different channels).

In summary though: You either put in more effort to build relationships, or spend more money on colder traffic to get the same amount of sales. But either approach you take, making sure your ad + landing page look professional, and give people plenty of reasons to trust you - do some research and you'll find a ton of tactics you can use to build credibility in ads + landing pages.
