PPC Tracking Decision.
I am having trouble deciding which tracking software to pick because I am looking for specific data that I am not to sure if all supply.
A bit about my campaign and what I want from a tracker.
I am currently running PPC campaigns, specifically SKAG campaigns, which to my understanding is Single Keyword Ad Groups.
So what I want out of the tracker is the ability to track each specific keyword, so I know how much each keyword has made me or lost me by using auto cost update or manual bulk update, I need to see the cost per keyword and the earnings per keyword
I was recently using Click magic due to a pretty simple set up but the one problem I faced with using them was I had to manual update each keywords ad spend to find out if I was profitable or not, which as you can imagine would just take way to much when I have campaigns with 100+ keywords.
I am currently testing out Funnel Flux and RedTrack on a trial and both looking like a bit of a process to set up since I am not so savy, which is why I wanted to ask this question because i want to focus on learning how to set it up properly and don't want to get to the end of set up and realise the tracker doesn't do what I am looking for.
Thanks in advance,
Ellis

I would implement this in CPV Lab Pro as follows:
- If the Traffic Source allows you to pass the keyword as a token in the Ad URL, then you can configure the tracker to capture these keywords automatically.
- If this is not possible (the Traffic Source doesn't pass the keyword), then you can add the keyword to each Ad URL when you setup the ad and keywords will still get captured by the tracker.
Now you have keywords captured by the tracker and conversions (sales) will be attributed to the correct keywords.
As for costs, this also depends if the Traffic Source can pass the CPC or not. If they pass the CPC values, then you capture costs directly, Otherwise, you have the option to upload a spending report with a costs breakdown per keyword and update the individual CPC registered.
So things can be captured as you wish by just configuring things in the tracker based on what the Traffic Source allows.
I suggest that you give
CPV Lab Pro a try for your setup and take advantage of the free trial. We can have our team install the tracker on your server at no cost and we also offer you assistance in setting up your campaigns so that you get started quickly.

Hi Radu, thank you for getting back to me and explaining a bit about CPV labs and how I could use it in my business.
Since you took the time to write back to me I will check out the trial and see if CPV labs is what I am after.
I am using Microsoft ads and from understanding they don't pass cost data, it has to be manually uploaded unless CPV integrates directly with Microsoft? From my understanding CPV can upload a report for each keyword so I am happy doing that also if they cant integrate.
As for installing CPV on my server what is the difference between that and say having it in the cloud?

You are right, Microsoft Ads doesn't pass cost data, so you have the option to upload a spending report in order to update costs for each keyword. There is also the option to pass conversion data back to Microsoft Ads automatically from the tracker, as described here.
We are currently developing the API integration with Microsoft Ads which will allow us to get costs automatically from them, without uploading reports. This will be available in the next release.
As for the install, CPV Lab is a self-hosted tracker which means that it stays on your server (you can also have other websites and landing pages on the same server). Once installed (which we can do for you), you will access the interface in a browser, just like any other tracker.
Let me know if you have other questions.

The API integration would be a great thing to have, when would this new feature be rolling out?

The API integration will make things easier, indeed.
This is currently under development and will be included in the next CPV Lab Pro version, but we don't have an exact release date yet.
Our users with Microsoft Ads campaigns can receive access to the beta version of the integration as soon as it is available, they won't have to wait for the release.
