There's affiliates doing 300-500 a day on push? It always seemed like push was low quality crap traffic and it was nearly impossible to make that a day.

Seems like you have to adjust your world view.
Push works well for quite many cases... of course not for all.
There are even people making more than 500 USD a day on pop traffic.
Just browse through some of the recent case studies & success stories here on STM.

When and where did it seem like that?

This is what I've seen and heard from people doing case studies.
Maybe it was just terrible campaigns they were running.
I've seen different people running campaigns where profits were like $5. This gave me the impression that it was very difficult to make $500 a day.
I actually like Push and I would love to know that this isn't the case.

Nobody said that it is easy. You most likely will not reach such numbers with just investing a few weeks when coming from ground zero.
On the other hand, making 500 USD / day with a regular job also ain't easy

Until a few months ago I was ignoring offers with payouts for $1.25, $2, etc because I figured they were a waste of time and you'd never make profit when cost per click can be half or more of your payout.
They're now some of my most profitable camps, pulling $1k a day profit within their first 3 days at 80%+ ROI.
I also thought sweeps were fucking stupid and no one is dumb enough to click a sweeps offer in 2022.
Turns out, I was the stupid one

Just the fact that there are constantly coming more and more sweep offers should be enough to realize that it can´t be such a bad vertical
You know, follow the money.
When advertisers set up such offers again and again then only for one reason - It´s worth it.
Judging affiliate stuff by our own likings or interests is mostly a bad idea, if I would do it I couldn´t run any of the offers
As you said, you thought that in 2022 no one is stupid enough to click a sweep offer and yet there are many people who even click and convert on several sweep offers because they still believe that
this time they can really win a XYZ.
Never underestimate the stupidity of the average internet user

Alright...I'm sold on running Push traffic with sweeps or whatever is best for beginners.
So, how do you guys run your Push campaigns here?
Do you kill the campaign at 10x or 20x the offer payout? i.e. after. $10 or $20 spent for a $1 offer
With my current $50 a day budget (possibly $70 a day in the future), would it be better to run as many campaigns a day as my budget allows?
Or stick with only 1 campaign a day, irrespective of the budget?
Lastly, what are some good traffic networks?
I have ran a few Push campaigns before but I was just dabbling in it so I'm basically still a newbie.

There is tons of material here on STM. Among all that twinaxe has provided some really helpful and easy to read guides and case studies.
Diving into all that will surely help you but not give you the answer that you probably want...
In the end you need to learn to walk by simply trying and stumbling many times.
If there is a silver bullet then it is to team up with some other noobs in a master mind.
Just post a request for that here on STM and you will be amazed how many people want to join in (some are just shy to make such a request themselves).

The day it becomes difficult to make 3-figures/day on push, will be the day we stop teaching it here on STM.
I'm so glad you voiced your concern so that others had the opportunity to clear that up!

This!!!
When writing copy for the average people, I ALWAYS keep that in mind. The K.I.S.S. principle almost always applies.
The exception of course, is when your audience is especially highly-educated compared to the average person. But even then, keeping things simple can STILL do wonders to CR.
