Fulltime affiliates - Green in 2021 - Red in 2022 ?

Hi,
Being a full time affiliate can be very rewarding but this year has been nothing short of disaster for me. In 2021 my average net profit was six figures per month.
Now the entire month of january, nothing works like it used to a few weeks ago.
I am still running the same landers, offers, traffic source but from one day to another it stopped being profitable.
Switched up landers, offers and even verticals but same situation. Nothing seems to stick in 2022 for now.
Anyone experiencing the same ? Did some credit card regulations change? My approval rate is 1/3 of what it was in 2021.
Lucky for me I am still breaking even, but that doesn't buy me a loaf of bread. Spending 100k to make 101k isn't the perfect scenario, but the reality for me this month.
Wondering if I am the only one experiencing this or if others are in the same boat as me.
Any ideas what could have changed? I checked my entire setup for leaks or anything suspicious, set it up from the ground again but also same results.

what kind of offers are you running?

I've done huge numbers and gone to zero many many times.

It's normal because the landscape is always changing.

Don't be afraid of dialling down to get profitable and start to build back up. It's really easy to loss a lot of money throwing money at a campaign that use to work in the past.
Keep testing till something pops up (sometimes it takes a new offer/vertical for this to happen).

This happened to me too in the past, sometimes a niche or vertical simply stops working and there is nothing you can do about it. When the drop is a sudden one, it's usually some regulation or a large advertisers leaves the market so there is not enough demand for leads or whatever it is you are collecting. I would try to investigate to find out whether something like this happened.

It might help to share a bit more details about what you are running, maybe there are others in the same vertical who could confirm a trend.

Another option is something related to the traffic source(s). Are you running on a single traffic source? Maybe they changed something so you're not getting the same type of traffic or its not targeted properly. Many people reported something similar with FB in the past few months.

And both verticals tanked at the same time? Were you running just one main offer or several ones, if so how many (roughly)?

My main offer died out completely. The backup offers have half of the EPC as before or even less. Tested roughly 15-20 offers extensively this month for sweeps alone.
Usually 2 offers in a split test every day (mo - fri).

Mind me asking which traffic type?

Also: Are you running offers from the same aff network / advertiser, or different networks?

It can happen from time to time that some niche just stops working good and as a consequence of it, results become much lower and you face a significant decrease of your business. I would suggest that you maybe test niches, and see if others are facing similar problems at the moment. Also, you could maybe try to change some offers, get new ones, start working with different affiliates as they maybe aren't performing as they should at this point. I am sure you'll quickly find a way out of this situation, everyone who is working in this industry has faced issues at some point, don't give up, just test different variables and try to modify some tactics you have been using.
