What Type of Bidding do you use?
Hey Guys,
I have been working with Google for years, but I am curious what you experts do for bidding strategies. CPA bidding is usually what I aim for but I am wondering if that is limiting my traffic volume. Also I am unsure what bidding strategy to start with. CPA doesn't get traffic, but CPC seems to just be garbage traffic.
What are the forum's thoughts?
Thanks.

I always start with Maximize Clicks with new campaigns. After getting 25 conversions, I switch to Target CPA. Sometimes after 100+ conversions, I change bidding to Target ROAS.

For years I worked with manual cpc, didn't thrust G at all.
But recently tested with CPA and was amazed by the power of it.

The AI of google improved a lot, once it's able to identify your perfect buyers, it can work like a charm. Same with FB, even though they do have their problems lately due to the privacy changes.

Do you set a Max Click cost for this campaign and do you focus on getting those 25 conversions even if you are in Red ( within reason ) and the potentially make your money back on the target CPA adjustment?

When I am just starting campaigns, I usually go for maximize clicks campaign since they are automatically adjusted to bring the most clicks for your budget, and later once I start making some progress, I turn to some other bidding strategies like target CPA or maximize conversions since I am selling some products with ads.
