Traveling to Jamaica - Worried about Suspension

I currently have a couple ad accounts where I am spending 5-10K a day in Youtube ads. I live in the U.S. but am going to Jamacia for 4 days later this month and need to be able to access my accounts on a daily basis. I have heard of horror stories about people losing their accounts when logging in from another country. Is this actually something to be worried about, or just a myth? If so, what is a good way that I can prevent this? I must not be the only person that is traveling out of country and needs to access their Google Ads account.

Thank you

You can always use Google Ads mobile app and monitor ads from there.

If you want to go the very safe route you could install remote desktop and access your local machine from Jamaica.

Software like "team viewer" might also be an option.

Yup, this is a solid option that I have heard people are using to fight this problem.

But anyways, is google that sensitive when it comes to this? Usually I hear that people complain about this in connection with FB.

Well that's what im wondering. If it's actually a real issue or if it's something that turned into a bit of an urban myth.

I've seen way too many people complaining about running into problems with their FB accounts when traveling for this to be just a myth, so it's indeed a real problem that some people face. But very few mentioned google would do the same, so hard to say, it might be exaggerated.

Have you installed 2FA on the accounts? It seems to really help avoiding problems because they can really make sure the password has not been shared.

Never had any issues accessing my google account from different geos. With all the remote work these days it shouldn't raise any flags.

Another option would be to just use a VPN or setup your own VPN.
I have setup my own VPN on a raspberry pi. So i can use my regular IP from anywhere in the world. It's pretty easy to setup. https://www.comparitech.com/blog/vpn...pberry-pi-vpn/

What about opening accounts while you are traveling?

I am in Mexico for a few more weeks but wanted to test some stuff out with Adwords but trying to figure out if I should just wait until I am back in the US to open the account?

From what I understand Google pays a lot of attention to how an account is opened and I really don't want to deal with the issues later.

I don't think anyone can really give you a guaranteed answer here... I've heard quite many people complain that they got into account issues while traveling, but even more people said they were logging into accounts both on google and FB from remote location without any problems and that there were likely other issues that have caused the account suspensions. I really don't know what to think about this anymore

If you use teamviewer via your own desktop/lap at home, no matter where you are, it would be the same as you were physically at home using your desktop (to open accounts or whatever).

Having said that: There is never any guarantee that ANY new account registration would be successful.

Your IP is only one factor they consider. Any of a number of other things can trigger their alarms.
