Does being AM needs to have knowledge of coding?

Hey guys,

Back again with another question. I am into Facebook ads and when it's about coding then I only like HTML and CSS and actually know how to get my work with it. But when it comes to any other programming language that is C, C++, Java, Python and etc. I can't understand a single word and I am that bored with it that when someone just speaks any of these languages name I just hate it!

But at a point I was actually worried that now I am into this career and never getting out of it, so will this hatred of mine will be hurdle to my career in future or now? Will it affect anyways in it? Should I learn and pay attention to it? Will doing so be helpful in the future? Or when I'll have many more camps and had to deal with it so developing any automation system will need it?

I know in AM it's a one man army and one must be a tech person for an instant but yes sometimes when I am having any difficulties while dealing with landers and all I am quite sure that to a point I can solve it with my knowledge in HTML. Ahh! I am literally confused about it. Please tell me what should I do?

You don't need to know programming, but it sure helps and will save you time and money. You probably just need PHP/Javascript, maybe Python if you want to use it over PHP, but that's about it.

Most of us here dont know jack shit about coding... except for some minor html or css so we can do some LP mods ourselves, for example. Affiliates are definitely more into marketing, selling and copywriting than they are into coding. There are exceptions of course and those who can code do have an advantage. But most of us outsource coding tasks to coders who can do these way faster than we ever could.

Personally, I'm really bad at coding. I can replace some texts and do basic HTML, I know how all the tech setup works etc... but that's about it and I never felt like it was hurting my business in some major way.

I thought it was only me who doesn't know anything about it except HTML and doesn't like it. Hahaha!!

Oh no, not at all It's pretty common in the AM world. Learning how to code properly isn't easy so it's often better to outsource this, many of us are doing just that.

When you plan to automize things of course that requires some kind of coding.

But... you clearly stated that you hate it. So I guess in your case it is much wiser to use your energy on things that are not as much of a pain for you.

There are plenty of programmers available. So you can buy yourself out of the hate.

Learning programming makes only sense in my opinion if you have an actual problem that you do want to solve by yourself. Then it is actually less hard because you know what and why you do it for.

Oh no, it´s not only you.

There are so many affiliates who struggle with the technical side of AM

I can't code worth shit. And it has never stopped me.

But it really depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

If you're only worried about preparing landing pages: It really doesn't take much to "fix up" landing pages you download from spy tools. Either learn some rudimentary coding yourself (like I did), or just hire someone cheap and reliable on freelancing sites like upwork.

More options can be found here: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...-Landing-Pages

For bigger projects than fixing up ripped landing pages: If you hate programming, it probably wouldn't be worth it to learn it yourself anyway. Just outsource.

@isha_18 - I literally know zero about coding - not a single thing, absolutely 0% knowledge on it.

I used Clickfunnels for the last three years and it worked just fine (despite being a bit slower than the paired-down pages of my competitors).

You don't need to know any coding to make money in affiliate marketing/media-buying.

Though certainly its a great skill to have!
