Hey guys, I'm new to STM, as well as to marketing on Facebook. Just finished going through zillion posts here.
I want to run Be2 offers in non-english countries, as well as canada. Got a couple questions. I know I shouldn't bother with broad targeting, and that I need to narrow my demo down and go with an angle. It's the angle part that kind of has me confused.
I think what most people do is target interests like "golf/golfers", and then make an ad like "Find a Girlfriend that Golfs", is this correct?
Is a LP pretty much mandatory with this method?
And doesn't Facebook have rules against this?:
Ads must clearly represent the company, product, service, or brand that is being advertised and must not contain false, misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive claims or suggest false relevancy to generic offers.
Also I'm trying to come up with some angles, but I'm kinda stuck in the "sports" mindset. Hoping some of you can offer some different angles (that you no longer use of course) to get some creative juices running ^^ And any general tips for FB dating would be awesome!
Thanks
If your ads are getting denied with the LP and the reasoning is "false relevancy" just go more subtle.
Sure you might not be able to say "Meet Single Giant Fans in NY"... but targeting NY as location, and putting up pictures of girls in giants hats/jerseys is basically saying the same thing.
Landing pages are great to presell, but you'd be surprised at the effect "subtly" has in your ads.
I prefer to actually go this method for the reason that people love to buy but hate to be sold. So subtly is kind of the user convincing themselves of this instead of you trying to convince them. Key is always to find the limit to push of subtle and selling.
Selling: "Meet single girls in NY who love the gmen! Join XXX free today!"
Subtle: Image of girl repping Gmen jersey "Announcing XXX. Meet beautiful women with similar interests. 2-minute profile setup. Join Free today!"
Thanks for the answers guys. New question:
With PPV I used CPVLab to double meta refresh to protect landers from being stolen by the network.
Do I need to do this with Facebook ads too? If they can't see my ads anyway, I'd much rather just not use any tracking software and just go with subids to keep load times as low as possible.
Thanks
word of advice on the be2 offers.. check mywot.com and see if they are RED you need to cloak or risk losing your a/c.. Sad but true....
