One of my campaigns is running on google display with Enhanced CPC bidding and spending about $200/day for more then a month now, and google keeps showing limited by budget notification. I cannot increase the budget further due to the caps. So since cannot scale the camp at the moment, best i can do is to try lowering the cpa further.
I've decided to decrease my cpc a bit, to try to decrease the cpa after which can reduce the budget and still fill the cap but with a lower cpa.
After the cpc decrease google dropped the spend significantly, which usually normal and recovers after few days. But now it's been about a week and the spent is not recovered, while it still continues to show limited by budget notification. Since it still shows limited by budget, i assume that my ads are still competitive, and shouldn't have issue with spending.
On campaign level there is no significant change on the CTR (slight increase), while on placement level, on the top spending placement the CTR went up almost 2x (which is strange), while still dropped in spend.
Any ideas what could be happening here?
Yeah, has happened to me. Duplicate the campaign.
