Lets Go On A Date With Native ;)

Hi, so I am quite new to native. I originally started with Native several months ago and have spent about $1500 on various campaigns in various geos with little success. Since I don't have a very big budget I was going to be looking for T2 or T3 countries. I've heard that Leadgen sort of offers with a low payout can work on Native. I got recommended an offer by my account manager, it is a Dating offer for Taiwan with a $2.30 payout upon the SOI completion of signing up to a dating site. I am very new to leadgen and native, do these sort of offers work good? With dating sort of offers do I need a landing page or is it best to just send them straight to the sign up form? Any tips and advise about Native are welcome! Thanks!

Dating used be promoted on native quite heavily, but I'm seeing it a bit less I would say, but that might be the case just in certain GEOs that I put more focus on.

Let's see what our native experts would say... @platinum @jack_l @jaybot care to share your opinion guys?

I'm no expert in native, but will chime in with what I know while you're waiting.

I don't know about $2.30 payouts in TW, but I've seen payouts twice that ($4-5) convert beautifully in the US.

I don't think I've seen much direct-linking on native, if at all - usually people use landing pages.

I just went on Adplexity to see if I could find examples of dating in TW - it turned out that TW isn't even in the list of countries they have data for. Maybe use a VPN and do some browsing in the wild?

Interestingly, I can't seem to find many dating-related results on Adplexity for other countries either. I did searches on the keywords "dating", "single", "singles", and "looking". Hopefully it's because I'm not searching for the right keywords, and not because dating isn't run much on native. But doing a lot of spying "in the wild" as mentioned earlier should verify this (for/against).

And of course - looking forward to insight from the native experts!

Dating can definitely work on native... but you gotta make sure you're running the right offer...

I see a lot of dating offers on affiliate networks that either a) are technically 'mainstream' but are really low quality, or b) are good offers but are re-brokered from the dating network and at a way lower price so hard to run competitively.

If you can get a good SOI or DOI offer that pays well though its a fantastic vertical

And as mentioned, the CPA is low so you can test them and optimize them very cheaply.

So yeah I would definitely try the one you're talking about.

Just make sure it doesn't have a geo-redirect setup to go to some spammy adult-style offer if someone from the wrong geo clicks it, or the moderators will freak out. Both Clickbooth and Clickdealer have a way to disable that redirect feature, and I would assume most other networks do too

I got the campaign rejected because of the scammy adult redirect, so I am talking to my affiliate manager now to try to disable the redirect. Thanks for the info!

Yup, this can be a real issue with the traffic networks. I seriously don't understand why the networks are still doing this. I can understand redirecting to a similar offer in the same vertical, but redirecting the clicks from a mainstream dating offer to an adult one... that's just silly. Disabled redirects should be the default setting and not something we need to request and often won't get
