Sudden Decrease in ROI/CR - in December?
I am running Push/calendar traffic and i am seeing a sudden decrease in ROI, conversion rate in month of December.
Also for me, the cpc rates of traffic(in December) has decreased drastically(and the daily campaign cost has increased).
And the same campaigns that were giving 100-150% ROI for last few months, have suddenly came down to 30-50% ROI(in December).
I have seen few interviews of experts where they have said that December is usually not that great for media-buying(affiliate marketing). So, is that true? Or is it just me giving excuses to hide my shortcomings?
Also if someone's running Push/pop traffic, can you share your experience, did you see a drop in your ROI(in December)?

Q4 in general is different, but it has a lot to do with what you promote. Can you share the vertical you are in?

I also consulted with my managers, a good portion of my revenue comes from calendar traffic. And after IOS 15 update, calendar traffic went completely downhill.
I checked my device stats today, ROI from desktop device was above 100% on all days.
But Mobile device bought the overall ROI down.

Gotcha, so it's quite likely that the ios update played a role and not the time of the year. Calendar spam was extremely annoying though, I had to clean the devices of several friends who had their calendars filled with porn and sweeps spam, so was expecting this to happen.

I had a feeling that was going to happen as soon as I heard about it.

Hi Rhino,
We can confirm the findings of the interviews with industry experts that you’ve seen. Due to big companies spending what’s left of their yearly marketing budget (targeting the same audience as our partners), the resulting rise in CPM/CPC’s make it more difficult than usual to maximise ROI’s.
