Pops = new browser window or tab that pops up or under when you click on a trigger on a website.
Pops are interruptive and the users just have to deal with it, that's why pops can be so annoying.
Push = notifications that gets sent directly to your device (phone or PC/laptop).
Users have to agree first to receive the notifications but when they get spammed from several sources with dozens of notifications daily it cna also be annoying.
One big difference is that on pops the user sees the landing page/offer directly when the ad is triggered, on push the user has to click the ad to get to the landing page/offer.
That's why push can work better because there the the click is user intended whereas pops are just interrupting the users in their web surfing.

Thank you very much for that, that explains it very well, thank you.
Is one harder then the other or both relative the same?

The main difference, when it comes to working with these traffic types, is that for PUSH you need to create the AD in any given push network, while for POPs there is no need to do this. The AD is simple, just an icon/image and a short message so it's not hard to make these.
This leads to more differences : the Push AD helps you to pre-filter the traffic so you can target better as only people who are somewhat interested would click the push notification. With POPs you will get whatever traffic they have to sell at the price you bid.
Which leads to another: Push is "clicked" type of traffic, POP is basically a redirect to whatever URL you specify. So with POPs you will get way more visits to your landing pages. But the prices reflect this, so a PUSH click will be more expensive than a POP impression/visit.
Other than this, people usually use the same LPs for both push and pop traffic and also the most popular offer verticals are very similar. None of these formats offer any deep interest-based targeting options so you need broad appeal offers. The fact that you can use ADs with PUSH traffic makes it a bit easier to build more targeted funnels so for some people it's easier to convert this traffic. But when it comes to the actual "difficulty", I would say these two traffic types are quite similar.

This is again another great explanation, thank you.
I came to STM to learn more about affiliate marketing and really get and understanding of the whole picture and I am defiantly getting that here haha.
To be honest it is quite overwhelming and learning so much makes you not take action due to having so many options.

I can imagine that it can be quite overwhelming to learn all these things but don´t fall into the trap to get stuck in a reading and learning loop.
You can only learn how to run campaigns when you run campaigns, there´s no way around.
And it doesn´t matter how much you read about it, as soon as you start your first campaign you will have questions that you didn´t read about before.
One real campaign can teach you more than 100 hours of only reading.

Action is 100% the cure of all, I just need to pull the trigger and take action.

Yes, twinaxe is 100% correct. You can read as much as you want but it will only start to make sense once you run real campaigns. Do not delay the launch! There will always be new questions, new unknowns, possible tweaks or improvements... just start something on a low budget and then come back with questions.

I agree. Now I am assuming this is why everyone suggest to start at the 40 day challenge firstly?

Yup, even if you just take the $1 guide thats still better than just reading. Same with the 40-day tutorial, even if you decide to not focus on POPs once you finish it, you will have a much better understanding of the whole campaign structure, traffic sources, tracking etc... it's the perfect base, so to speak

Pop-up notifications are graphic notifications that appear on an app or website and are designed in accordance with the brand. Push notifications, on the other hand, can appear even if the subscriber has already left the website. Pop-ups can be rather disruptive, while push notifications appear with the consent of the user, as only subscribers will receive push.
Hope this helps. Good luck in your learning!
