How to get started learning Native?

Hi guys - 6 figure adspender here on FB. Looking to transition more budget over to Native. Complete noobie. Never ran native before. I generally understand the concept of whitelisting/blacklisting, but other than that, I have no knowledge of Native.

What are the best resources to decrease the learning curve for learning Native?

Thanks,
Owen

Best way to learn, is by getting started.
Search native ads on spy tools-> create campaigns-> fail->try again->ask questions-> keep testing until you succeed.

Only real educational material I'm aware of is James Van Elswyck's courses... I believe one came out in 2017 and one in 2019, or something like that, so they're a bit dated, but they were extremely helpful to me.

There's some stuff on YouTube but not a ton...

And then there's lots of stuff here on STM obviously...

Oh and then there was another forum (or still is, not sure) called Mad Society run by a guy named Malan Daras that was(is?) pretty good.

Within natives though each traffic source is quite different, so running on Revcontent will be quite different compared to Taboola anyway.

But yeah, vastly smaller volume on native than facebook so nowhere near as much good info on it... but e above is everything I know of

Thanks Jack - in terms of getting started, what native traffic source do you recommend for a whitehat/clean direct response nutra offer?

Heard Taboola is the cleanest so there is less competition with super high AOV health offers like on other platforms.

Thoughts?

Well, the hardest part about nutra, even super whitehat ones, is getting it approved, so I would honestly try all three- Taboola, Outbrain, and Revcontent (only if its US for Revcontent as it has very little INTL traffic) and see how they treat you moderation-wise.

Revcontent allows practically everything, Outbrain allows some stuff, and Taboola is the strictest.

But it really depends on the "feel" of the offer, obviously Goli Gummies for instance can run anywhere... but Clickbank VSl's are nearly impossible to get approved on Taboola...

If its your offer though you'll be able to do a lot of tweaking to get it approved though, so that is good.

At this point, I think Taboola has some of the strictest compliance out there. The saving grace is you can speak with a real human versus instant ban.

If you do try to run on Taboola, be prepared for a lot of nitpicking. A human will review it and they will key off little things and make you change it.

Wut.

I can run Goli on Taboola? (not that I want to anymore... people can buy it at fucking walmart and circle K now).

But it's good to know that some nutra is allowed.

This makes me think.

I wonder what else is OK on Taboola?

I gave it a really, really good go and couldn't quite get it to work... had a few days in the green but just couldn't do it... made like 5 different custom funnels... really went all out... I think you're right though I think people just didn't buy it because they knew they could get it at Walmart...

I love the darn things though, I eat them every day
