I've been testing adult dating offers again...and lost a chunk of cash.
Mainly because I went against the golden rule that @matuloo says - "always use a pre-lander"
I since added a prelander & boom i'm almost in profit.
My reason for not using one at first, was because the offer i was testing already had a bunch of inbuilt survey style prelanders.
So my question is for anyone running any offers but mainly dating - how do you deal with offers that already have inbuilt prelanders.
It feels strange to make a lead go through your survey questions, to then be redirected to another page asking the same or similar questions.
I just wondered if there was a different style or approach of prelander for this type of offer?
Thanks
Even if the offer has inbuilt prelander, i'll still use my own prelander(on top of it).
You need to know that purpose of prelander is not just to increase conversion, prelander is also used to optimize your campaigns.
90% of the optimization is done based on landing page CTR rate.
If you are promoting a $10 payout offer on direct linking. You'll have to spend $10 on each source id/widget inorder to test whether it'll work or not.
By using your own prelander you can cut bad performing widget after 30-40 clicks.(low LP ctr rate).
You can run direct linking campaigns on whitelist sources. After spending x dollars, once you know that certain source ids have given proven results, then in that case you can split test or run direct linking campaigns.
Or in other case, if you have a very low payout offer(below $1), then you can try to spend $1 on each widget(via direct linking) and then blacklist those sources that didn't give any conversions.
Split test both alternatives.
That makes total sense, thanks for the input
