Agency closed, Store Opening: Questions?
Hi Ya'll
This week I closed down my agency. We helped 7, 8, 9 figure store owners with email flows, copy and sometimes ads.
My goal now is to create my own store. However, I am going to start off with running affiliate offers so I can learn new traffic channels and test offer niches.
Anyway, I have a few questions for those of you in eCom...
1) When testing offers is it necessary to have a full Shopify setup for running affiliate offers? With speed in mind, I am thinking of doing a HTML setup. I also want to be able to use @thedudeabidies list building strategy once I find winning affiliate offers (inserting opt in pages between advertorial & Offer to build list). I want to make sure page load speed is maximised.
I also suspect ill be doing affiliate offers for a while. Don't want to have to get into complicated setups if I don't need to.
2) The main reason for starting with affiliate before I start my own long term brand is I want to test other traffic sources beyond FB. Most of my marketing career has been with FB. What other places are people running eCom offers or owned products?
3) many of my clients were focused on sending agressive traffic to product pages. In AM'ing that is essentially direct linking. So for doing AM'ing for ecom -- what is the mindset on the prelander?
Thanks.
Vinn

I don't think you need
Shopify to run affiliate offers for any reason...
The gold standard in affiliate ecom is the agencies GiddyUp, Jumbleberry(Carousel), and DFO. Jumbleberry has a presence here on STM and tons of people on here work with the other two as well.
If I were you I'd check out how they are doing things...
Usually its Ad>Advertorial>Beefy offer page with lots of selling on it. Then different choices for buying 1, 3, 5, 7 of the item, etc at different price points.
Sometimes its even longer, Ad>Advertorial>Interstitial>Offer Page.
Although on Facebook or TikTok probably less layers of pagers since you can sell more in the ads...
Some big affliate ecom offers from the last few years you could research are:
PhotoStick
Xtra-PC
Starscope Monocular
Aculief
Muama Enence Translator Device
Fixd
Peeps
StopSnore
You could also get a good Facebook or Native spytool if you don't have one already... to check out all the offers and how folks are running them...
What other traffic sources are you looking at using?

No directly related to your questions, but landingpageguys.com has lots of good youtube videos on how to optimize landing pages. They announced last week their own Shopify theme, made for conversion optimization. Might be worth having a look. These days they are looking for beta testers, so you can test if free. Join their FB group for more info: https://www.facebook.com/groups/landingpages/
