HELP Mobile Landing GEO Script for Adult Dating
Hi All
Thanks for all the helpful info!
I have been running mobile campaigns on Adult ad networks with banners to landing page using GEO script from Bemob tracker.
My question is does this hurt campaigns?
When I go thru my campaign url on my phone it show my current city on my landing page but sometimes when I check it gives a different location.
Could this be cause wherever I am the WiFi I'm using.
It always works when I'm at my home.
But when I check the campaign url when I'm in another part of the city it gives a location in another state.
Could this be hurting my campaign?
Cause if I'm in Florida I wouldn't want a offer displaying New York.
Should I run mobile campaigns with out GEO script?
Any help would be grateful!

Have you tried to split test landers with or without the geo script? So you can compare conversion rates.

Personally, I stopped using GEO scripts in dating long time ago. The thing is, in some countries, the GEO location works pretty accurate, but in many countries it's really not accurate at all. And yes, it depends on the connection/ISP that the people use. So quite often, the script would detect the wrong city.
On top of that, some cities are small and that kinda gets in conflict with what we display on the landers. For example : "we found 123 lonely females in your location".... that's hard to believe if you live in a small town with let's say 2000 inhabitants.
What I'm doing instead is using wording like : "within 30 miles from your location" or "in your area" or "in your district" etc... this still gives the LP a local feel and I didn't see any negative impact from using this instead of GEO location scripts.

Excellent, I'm really happy to read this!
$10 profit/day campaigns can work like a charm, I've been running those for years. It takes a good bunch of them to make some solid profits, but many of these small campaigns can last for months and months. Small campaigns are also more "resistant" against being copied/ripped since most people look at those that occupy the top spots.
I'm glad I could help you... these are the small details that people often overlook from whatever reason, but they can have massive impact on the final results
