Maybe I'm just a moron, but how does FB calculate their CTR?
This is a screen shot of an ad today...
Edit: Screen shot didn't show up..
stats: Impressions: 6976 Clicks: 24 CTR: .057%
now I thought CTR is: (Click/impression) x 100
if that were the case... 24/6976 = 0.00344, x 100 = .344 CTR
What am I missing/overlooking here?
I may be wrong but I figure that FB's stats take time to update. If you look at previous days' stats, do they calculate correctly?
^^ just did calculations for yesterday's ads, and it's the same thing
Your overlooking the frequency of your ads.
CTR = [(total # of clicks) / (total # of impressions)] * 100= [(total # of clicks)/ (Reach * Freq.)] * 100
never checked the math on a fan page, you may need to include the social reach as well on those.
Yup freq plays a part too. say I have 1000 impressions with 1 click but freq 2 that would still be 0.05
yeah you need to hit full report for total impressions. Otherwise you're looking at your reach * frequency
Hey, thats about what every single dating ad targeting women looks like for me, and continues to drop until impressions stop being served haha.
FB is frustrating. -_-
