Pop and push are both bit the best choices for dating offers because of quality.

Yup, both POPs and PUSH are known for producing low quality leads, so you will lose most of the offers pretty fast. In my experience, POPs is somewhat better and can last longer and I've known several people who have been running dating on POPs for a long time. With push traffic, it's easy to generate leads but they don't convert into paying customers much so advertisers are not really wanting to pay for such leads. But again, there are people who can make it work.

If you really have to choose one of the two, I'd go with POPs.

Standard dating traffic is better use for dating... trafficfactory, trafficjunky, exo, trafficstars, trafficforce, exotiads, eroadvertising... these are all solid networks you can work with.

If you decide to go with banner traffic, definitely focus on solo offers instead of smartlinks and make your own LPs.

Hi there!
We have been in affiliate marketing for more than 6 years, both as a dating advertiser and affiliate network. We can highlight 4 aspects on which the profitability of your campaigns will depend:
1) Offer. Use all benefits of working with Network. Ask your manager about top offers precisely for your type of traffic. Usually, they'll recommend you to try only the best offers they have.
2) Ad Network. Quality is a good factor, but analyse CPC/CPM of different networks. Get some feedback about Ad Networks. The most expensive is not always the best variant.
3) Tracker. Using a tracker benefits your profitability. You should make Black and White lists of sources to optimise campaigns.
4) Creatives. CTR is a king. Test different creatives, messages and formats. Even if you work with CPC model, you need to understand that users are interested in your proposition. Dating offers have pretty high CR and ROI on both types of traffic. Based on our experience, we can tell you that Pop traffic is more complicated than Push. On the other hand, if you can make Pop campaigns profitable, it's a success because leads quality is expected to be good.

Push and pop traffic traditionally perform well in the dating niche, but at RichAds, recently, pops convert better in this vertical. Moreover, dating is one of our top verticals now!

How to choose an offer:
• Look at the payment model, not the size of the payout. Which model to choose depends on the vertical but we recommend choosing either CPA or CPL.
• Estimate the offer's restrictions (about adult dating, it can be prohibited to use nudes on landing pages and creatives and requirement to use a pre-landing page).
• Ask for top GEOs in the affiliate and ad networks (at RichAds, top GEOs for dating are the USA, Belgium, Germany, and France).

Both are converting well. You need to test.

By the way, we have a lot of push traffic available. Just contact us in PM.

I would recommend to start with push and with a single offer! So not run push on a smartlink for example. So you have more control on what you are promoting. If you need any help for push you can text me on skype: jaerts92

Push traffic and dating equals to pretty much guaranteed quality problems. In-page push or POPs are better choices, quality wise. Push converts better though, so it might be an option to mix it with higher quality traffic to drive up the lead quality a bit. That way, it can work for a longer period of time.

The best action in case of Push traffic for Dating - is to let know your network, that you are going to send them Push traffic. When network knows what to expect from your traffic, they can adjust the payout. Yeah, that's lower potential ROI, but no problems with payout in future.

As for ambotelisp original question - both traffic types can work for Dating, you just need to test a lot. In general, if you are only getting started, then I would strongly recommend to go through twinaxe's Push Traffic Guide and Case Studies. It will give you a lots of tips and guidelines for running your campaigns.

Yes, this is an option too. I have tried it a few times, but in the end I always lost the offers due to poor lead quality when I was sending just push traffic to them. Maybe it was just bad luck on my behalf, or maybe I did something wrong but such was my experience. Doesnt mean it cannot work for other people of course, I've seen it the other way around too... I made some offers work even though several people failed on those. We all have our methods and approaches and what works for one person, doesnt have for the next one

100% agreed here. Some people can get green ROI with direct linking (still kind of miracle to see for me ). So testing, testing and a bit more of testing

Both methods are converting well, as many of you have already pointed out. However, it's crucial to test and optimize. Below are some tips to convert dating campaigns. Hope it helps!

1) COUNTRIES

Start testing with tier 2 and tier 3 markets. Tier 1 advertising is too expensive to start with at the beginning, and it also has the highest competence.

2) CREATIVES

Create an appealing banner, as it is the first thing users will see about your campaign. Words matter a lot, so be relevant, catchy and customized to your target audience. In addition, it is important to use a high-quality image that matches the offer.

3) ANGLES

Take care of all the angles and create a pre-landing with some questions about the age and interests of the users, in order to be able to move forward with the most qualified leads. Furthermore, be aware of the images and communication style you use, as they have to be the same in all parts of the campaign funnel.

4) QUALITY RATHER THAN QUANTITY

Focus on driving quality leads because those will be the ones that will generate conversions. Yet, poor quality leads will generate a bunch of clicks but fewer conversions and probably the pause from the advertiser.

5) CONVERSION FLOW

Start with CPL conversion flow as it is the easiest to get conversions. Dating offers can be SOI or DOI, so keep these in mind when you are testing. Moreover, there are other conversion flows you can work with including CPA, CPS/PPS and Revenue Share. These models have a higher payout and the demand from advertisers is eventually increasing.
