Hello, Is there anyone who can guide me how to track conversions in Google Ads for CC submit.
I'm promoting Nutra offers & using lander. Visitor click on ads & visit landing page then click on buy button & redirected to aff sales page which i don't own.
Is there any tool i can install on my landing page to track CC submit conversions?
Any help will be much appreciated.
- Do you use a tracker? If so. which one?
- Does the affiliate offer owner/network sends the conversion to your tracker?
If both replies are Yes, you can check if your tracker has integration with Google to pass the conversion.
See Voluum for example: https://doc.Voluum.com/en/google_ads...tegration.html
Basically it all comes down to appending &gclid={gclid} on your Google Ads destination URLs (or using autotagging); then appending that GCLID value as a SubID on your affiliate links; getting that SubID included on sales postbacks to your tracker or an endpoint of yours; and then automatically or manually uploading those conversions to Google Ads as an 'Import from clicks' conversion. I'm not sure how detailed to be as I don't really know your setup or technical knowledge.
The other method would be to use the standard 'website' conversion in Google Ads, then by Google Tag Manager or direct placement of the Google Ads pixel both on your landing page and the affiliate offer/receipt pages, having it done automatically. In this case you'll also need to configure the Conversion Linker since it's multidomain, and also expect a pretty significant underreporting of conversions.
The first method is usually more accurate overall, though you can get the best of both worlds by making a Conversion Action Set in Google Ads with both a Imported From Clicks and a Website conversion, setting the limit to 1 per GCLID, and using imported conversions to fill in the shortfall of the pixel.
The other big catch with this, is that these methods work for Google Search and Display. For YouTube, you'll find iOS14 traffic won't send a GCLID at all, which makes conversion tracking kind of a nightmare.
