Terrible Results Post IOS 14.5 (ecom brand)

What up! I haven't been here in a while but thought maybe some people have some insight on whats happened with facebook in the last 6 months. I have an ecom brand selling jewerly that's done 5mill in rev over the last 4 years. Last year being the best year but these last 4-6 months post IOS 14.5 have been utterly terrible. Facebook has completely died for us... Everything is setup correctly, and there are small windows where things are working but it's just like a light switch was flipped.

I don't even think it's the tracking, CPMs in USA have gone from $20-$25 to $50+ with worse converting traffic, using video ads we've tested hundreds of creatives but even with a 9%+ CTR a $55 cpm makes it +1.5$ per click... conversion sucks, weird traffic stalls.

Been dabling on tik tok and going to push more there but just wondering is ANYTHING working for anyone on fb? Should I just try a new domain, pixel, ad account, page? I've been through some choppy waters with FB before but this is like nothing else, nothing works. Proven winners dead, new products with high CVR are dead bc traffic is so weird and shitty and expensive.

Anyone wanna buy a ecom site? LOL

Given that you already have a customer base, did you try Facebook LLA? It's independent of iOS 14.5 update I think.

oh yeah, I have tested everything ... Interests def have fallen off but no lookalike (LTV, pixel based, customer list based, etc etc) 5%-10% comes in with CPMs lower than $45
have tried wide open targeting, expanded audiences, expanded LLAs, diff creative types, all kinds of things
I know facebook has slowly been getting more expensive as brands moved online during pandemic but this is just stupid at this point given the results over the last 3-4 yrs

also fb just posted record breaking profits last quarter lol. douches

FB video ads is still cheaper than YT video ads because they are competing. You can retarget those who watched x percent or seconds of a video on your FB page. iOS updates have nothing to do in this case. And this strategy is always profitable. Pinterest and Google paid traffic are good sources too. Surely, there are better ways out than Facebook or selling your business!

P.S. Tiktok is going crazy good these days. I personally haven't tried yet but trying to find a way out as soon I can. It's banned in my country.

Given that you have a customer base already, contests with or without a quiz funnel should work great too. Bing gets cheaper clicks but the quality isn't as good as Google and Facebook. Now if Google or Amazon suddenly vanish but internet still exists, aren't there ways out instead of begging Mr. Zuckerberg, Mr. Bezos, or Mr. Page/Mr. Brin to come back? There are surely ways out! Think how Facebook, Google, or Amazon got so much traction? They surely did market themselves! And what did they do? Hmmm let me think...

P.S. By the way you can try this cool FB tool: https://connectio.io/ They have a $1 trial offer. Just email them and ask for it. The tool is awesome!

Connectretarget is affected for sure. It has a suite of tools. Connect leads and connect audience are different and help to get cheaper leads. The tool is good. I won't recommend anything that I haven't used personally. But if you are skeptic you are free to have your thoughts. And everyone who knows FB ads would agree with the fact that video ads are still cheap on Facebook. You can always retarget those who interacted with the videos. It will ALWAYS be profitable and unaffected by iOS updates. I shared what I knew and you are free to seek other opinions to make important decisions. Its your business (pun intended) anyways!

P.S. I find it strange that you could pass a judgment on a piece of software in less than 24 hours. Not sure you tried it. People choose Klaviyo as an autoresponder because it has the features of connect audience. And most autoresponders don't. The entire suite of tools is surely worth the money at least for me. But again we are all different. Do what works for you. Good luck!

yeah I've been building audiences through Klaviyo for 4 years. His marketing tactics are just full of shit is all I said, he says a basic audience building tool is an IOS 14.5 killer ... It's just hyperbolic marketing that is annoying. Werd

2 things to try:

1)Perhaps there are attribution/tracking issues that can be fixed/improved in order to improve targeting and optimization.

There are 3rd party tools that can help. And then there are ways to do it for free. Check out this very helpful webinar by Depesh Mandalia - I attended it last week - here's the replay:

https://www1.bpmmethod.com/live-ios1...yq65fGLdufk%3D

2)Perhaps your FB account got flagged. Rent an agency account and try launching one of your existing campaigns there and compare performance.

Best of luck!
