Affiliate Marketing Mentors

I have been searching in this forum where I can find the top affiliate marketing coaches/mentors in the following traffic sources:

  1. Social Media
  2. Paid Keyword Search
  3. PPV
  4. Pop traffic
  5. Push
  6. Native
  7. Organic SEM

If they are also available in this forum, I also would like to know their usernames.

What exactly do you want to do with such a list? Do you plan to master all traffic sources?

We have lots of members with experience in each category. Look in the forum who is replying, or who has a follow along, and that will allow you to start learning.

Don´t forget, a coach/mentor doesn´t guarantee success.

You can still fail and unluckily there are also people out there who want to sell overpriced coaching/courses for just basic knowledge that you can get much cheaper or even free online.

Additionally to the coaching/mentorship you still have to pay for traffic, software and whatever anyway.

I would say in most cases it´s better to invest the money for the coaching in traffic and learn yourself.

@jeremie In the long run, I want to master more traffic sources. It's just by having an experienced mentor for a particular traffic type; some people can make faster progress. Several years back, I did make my first profits on Bing after being coached for 3 months. We didn't even meet every week, but it's enough to show me the tricks and motivate me.

It's true that it won't guarantee success at all. If someone has the right coach, then a progress can be done quicker. For example, I was struggling with my guitar picking for years even though I watched so many guitar courses. After I spent 10 hours with an amazing guitar teacher, my progress went exponential.

There's plenty of amazing mentors on this platform... its all the people that post on here all the time

I think people in IM tend to just view it more as 'friendship' though... because the folks actually killing it don't really have any financial motivation to "mentor" because they make more money running traffic than anyone could afford to pay for mentorship...

I think something like guitar or hunting or singing or jiu-jitsu is a little different, because those aren't skills that by definition provide a means to earn high incomes...

If your passion + skill is hunting, you'd love to be a hunting "mentor" and get paid to teach people to hunt...

If your passion + skill is making buku bucks producing mortgage leads on facebook and making 500k per month profit, you're not really looking to get paid to "mentor" people (unless your selling a course or something).

So yeah, I think the best mentorship you will find is just to continue doing follow-alongs and interacting with folks and building relationships

With that said, there's definitely some great courses in some of the areas you mentioned.

For Native its James Van Elswyck's stuff...

For SEO I think Matt Diggity's stuff is best...

For Facebook I would recommend Gabe from 7 Figure Entrepreneur's Course, as I've heard great stuff about it and he is killing it on there...

For paid search there's tons of courses out there...

For TikTok you have threads by ScottyG and Cassshy...

For push and pops you have @vortex 's wonderful trainings...

For push you also have @jaybot 's stuff... and lots of other stuff on here from 2-4 years ago when push was first getting really big...

So yeah, lots of stuff, but I'm not sure if any current STM members actually offer paid coaching... I feel like there might have been one or two who did back when I first got on here in 2018... but I can't remember... @matuloo or @vortex would probably know though...

@jack_l thanks man. Well, I am not providing any coaching. But you can reach me here, @gobroke and we will see how I can help you with advice. For free

For pushs, I would add @twinaxe in the list. Start with the push tutorial here: https://stmforum.com/forum/forumdisp...-Push-Tutorial

For SEO, i agree with @jack_l regarding Matt Diggity if you are looking for affiliate related SEO. Two other experts are Glen Allsopp (detailed.com) and Charles Floate (charlesfloate.com, a bit more Black Hat)

My view on learning any skill is that a teacher / coach is most helpful when you have solid bases. For example when learning a new language, I always start on my own, meet people, start to talk, get the basic vocabulary/grammar to understand / be understood. Then I go for a teacher to help polish and finetune. It is a bit the same here. You have lots of content to help you make your own tests and start. When you have some experience, you will benefit more from a teacher because you will have precise questions coming from your tests and first experience.

This is very good advice by the way, if anyone offers to coach you out of the blue after seeing this thread, be very wary.

A lot of fake 'gurus' out there trying to scam.

Thank you, @jack_l. The list is very helpful.

@gobroke Unfortunately, I don't know anyone who's currently still offering coaching, who knows their stuff. But I have a feeling you may get some PMs in response to this post!

And when you do - please be careful. Ask them some questions about the traffic source they claim to be an expert in. This is to 1)gauge their knowledge and 2)gauge their ability to explain what they know. A good coach needs to be good at both.

It's important to get some initial experience with the specific traffic type yourself first. This will allow you to separate the wheat from the chaff when talking to prospective coaches, by asking the right questions.

By doing your own learning first, you'll also make every minute of the coaching count, instead of wasting time and money on learning the basics.

Also beware of long-term commitment - that's a common tactic of scammers. They may tell you that they'll need a minimum of x hours/sessions with you before you can expect to see results. That's BS. A good coach should be able to give you great advice during every session, without your having to sign up for anything long-term. There may be exceptions to this rule, but unless the coach has a very good reputation, and great reviews from lots of people, I wouldn't make any long-term commitments without at least a trial period.

^^This makes a LOT of sense. I've observed the same often.

Make friends. Lots of friends. STM is the perfect place for this. Conferences and meetups are awesome too.

Participate in different threads. Start a follow-along. You'll start to get PMs from members, and of course you can PM people as well. Offer as much help as you can - it will come back to you tenfold (although that's not the main reason why you want to be helpful - it's because you're good people. )

If you talk to 10 different people and they each give you one tip, you'll have 10 tips. Even people that are not yet "killing it" may know something that you don't, and you may know something they don't. Heck even just telling each other what you've tried that HASN'T worked, can save time.

Best of luck!

Amy
