Hi guys,
Can you give me some guidelines on promoting lead gen offers on FB? I mean car insurance, house insurance, etc.
What is the best approach in terms of landing pages? Should it be a page with info about the offer, or should it be a quiz lander?
How would you target people on FB for those offers?
Any help would be highly appreciated here.
Thanks!
put 'cassshy' in search bar and check my posts.
Is this an example when you didn't even try to search but start asking?
Hey Jackvidal,
US Lead gen is one of our key verticals for which we build, test and run offers internally (and share them via our network with our affiliates as well), so we are more than happy to share some insights!

This really depends on the entire funnel. What proved best for us is being straight forward and clear and try to tie the pre-lander to the offer as closely as possible. Being overly agressive can result in higher CTRs, however it may result in getting your account blocked and the lead quality will suffer as well - the goal should be to deliver as relevant traffic to the advertiser as you can - and this will be rewarded by high CPAs (and not getting cut out by the advertiser because of poor lead quality). Using spytools to check what is working for the competition to get some inspiration is generally not a bad idea - do not reinvent the wheel if you don’t need to!

Again, this is a tough one to answer. In our experience, being too narrow on the audience targeting is not always the best path to go, as tries to serve the ads to the most relevant and likely-to-convert people first. If there are too few of them in the targeting subset, the CPC&CPM will suffer. So, rather than trying to narrow down the audiences, we recommend leaving this up to FB and rather trying to find the best ads for the larger segment instead.
In addition, from our experience there is no guaranteed formula on how to set up a campaign to make it work - Every account and every campaign is treated separately by facebook and we saw campaigns with the same setup (creative, prelander, offer, targeting) perform differently on different advertiser accounts. Instead, we first try to get the overall setup right and then testing&fine-tuning comes in.
