How to set up Direct tracking going straight to an offer?

Hi

I have a direct campaign (redirectless) that goes straight to an offer.

I have the Offer Tracking Script on my offer page, but how do I pass clickID info to my affiliate network so my postback can post correctly?

I was told by voluum support to add some script customizations (https://doc.Voluum.com/en/dtp_customziations.html), but I don't understand what exactly needs to be placed.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Redirectless direct to the offer would mean that you direct link.

In that case you can´t use a tracker because a tracker would make a redirect.

Then you just put the offer link in your trafficsource and add the trafficsources click ID token to the appropriate parameter in the offer URL.

Also make sure to use the trafficsources postback URL then in the affiliate network.

I'm using voluums direct tracking methods.

This is on facebook, so i need to rely on sending conversion data to FB via their conversion APi and Voluum postback (since i dont own the offer domain and cant verify it in my FB account)

Issue is I need a ClickID to be generated and passsed to my postback in the affiliate network in order for it to post to my Voluum which then passes the conversion data to FB

Unless the offer will allow you to put Voluum's pixel on their offer page, this isn't going to work like this.

Plus, direct to offer is dangerous on Facebook anyway. I highly recommend you get a prelander.

yes, they do allow me to put Voluum direct tracking pixel on the page

Who is driving the CAPI? The offer page will get the FBID when the user visits it. If they are posting back to Facebook for you, then they can just pass it back to Facebook. If not, you'll need them to pass it to you so you can send it to the API. It is best to ask the network or offer owner how to accomplish this.

Is the offer still hosted by the affiliate network?

If so, the problem here is that you are loading the offer page and the network and Voluum are both tracking the visitor at the same time.

BUT, you want to have Voluum normally pass a click ID that is generated on that visit, to the network. But they are tracking in parallel, not sequentially.

The solution here would be to have Voluum's JS return the click/visitor ID generated, then with JS push that ID to the network somehow e.g. via some "update field" API function but I am unsure what network you're using, how they are tracking or if they even have such an option.

You will need to ask you network about this, and whether there is a way with their "direct linking to the offer" option for you to push a click ID to their system after the initial load.
