LOL.... figured I'd share this with ya'll.... we've been laughing our asses off with this one all day long.
hired a few banner designers on odesk to do some animation banners for a big porn affiliate... So far, not going too well.
one of the 4 dudes (indian guy) sent me a banner sample this morning and I swear.... this has gotta be the worst BANNER OF THE YEAR. :-)

Keep in mind, i sent them a swipe file of like 40+ banners from different niches, sent him the copy and gave him specific directions.

odesk is hit or miss...especially banner design is pretty hard to outsource..i'm looking for a good banner designer for months but in the end it takes more time to explain them what you need than doing it yourself..so i always end up doing it myself with way better results...but if anybody can hook me up with a talented banner designer that understands the affiliate business let me know

I didn't sent across my designer's samples as I thought they weren't good enough (Moreover they did it in flash). But if you are getting this kind of work then I think I should send them as it may take less time for my guys to know what kind of banners to create.
