Hello guys!
After completing Amy's 40 day tutorial and reading through yall's FA I decided to start a follow along too.
Little background: I joined STM end of last year and been lurking around for a while. Completely newbie. Though I ran some Clickbank offers just to ban my FB ad account. Algo learned pretty fast what I was up to lol. Only few sales.
As I got around the 30th day in the tutorial unfortunately I had to stop.
After 4 months and most of my savings gone on a situation I don't wish on no-one, Im back! Or I have been back since April finishing the tutorial and continue learning POP.
Cant tell you guys how grateful and pumped I was following vortex's tutorial. Thank you vortex and everyone else sharing incredible knowledge on STM.
I made peace with that Im in this for a long run and didn't try to rush through. After getting done with fixing landers I felt like a hacker. Look at me scrolling through codes moving scripts to the bottom and eventually the LP worked. Took me about a week and a half. Reminded me when I learned Turbo Pascal in high school.

I had few days green with some camps but nothing consistent. I might tested and spent way much more on these TWO offers than I should.

It's hard to make a comeback when you lose all your savings - I'm so sorry to hear that - but there's always hope that you will make all that back and more in the future. Some of the world's wealthiest individuals have filed for bankruptcy. Some multiple times. So don't lose heart!
Yes it looks like you've overspent on some offers, but it's a necessary part of learning and you already know to avoid this in the future - so no more needs to be said on this topic.

Yay! I'm famous enough to have people make new FAs with their titles mentioning my title. I have no idea what that means, but it can't be bad!
Honeslty, your stats look better than you think. I mean, aside from all the red (we all know what that feels like). -67% is a pretty good overall number.
And your KE stats look great! Almost break even? You can probably push that over the edge with some optimization and a paybump.
Testing lots of exotic geos on Haka, good!

Hello everyone! Time for a recap to see what did we do here in a previous post.
After sobbing and licking our wounds clean lets go!
We were testing different GEOs recommended by our AM or just picked from traffic source. Testing Zeydoo offer and HAKA STM offers mainly with some other HAKA offers.
Zeydoo survey offer was converting good but not in every GEO. Definitely KE was the best and we had some green days with it but the performance was fluctuating. CPAgoal camp. Blacklisted some zones that were costing more x1 payout and used this camp to build a WL camp with zones doing the best. Didnt do much with placements since the offer only for android, chrome browser, FB browser and Samsung browser. 3G traffic was doing better so we picked that with chrome browser. So its Android, chrome on 3G with zones that had least few conversions to eliminate lottery conversions. You will see it daily that it starts out good making $1-2 profit daily which was awesome and other days in red. Had to stop the camp to make sure I can get verified and receive a payment. Other stopping is on my end for not having time to paying attention to it.
What I noticed is CPAgoal camp will slowdown.
With the HAKA offers some GEOs just spent crazy without conversion but definetly had traffic volume. Where other GEOs would turn into green but had only a couple or few conversions a day. To me it felt like would take a whole month running just to get enough data to make a decision.
Other thing I realized is camps would start out good in the morning and slowly go to -ROI during the day. Morning +ROI, Noon even, Night -ROI
Example: these camps are green but will end up red.
Other difficulty I ran in is obviously you want to find a green segment that you can target.
Like you can see it here we should be able to go into profits by firing up and other camp and target cellular network with same setup or just cut off the red segments. Unfortunately I didnt make profits. the new camp just stayed in -20,30 ROI. Still CPAgoal camp.
Okay so what's next?
- We are going to analyze all this data that we got and try to target profitable segments from the most promising camps.
- So much to learn so we gonna read again vortex's tutorial (especially the 2021 version since we did the 2019) and what ever else we can read
- Build a WL list from all these camps.
- Try different Zeydoo survey offers.
- Clean/prepare more LPs to test more offers recommended by our AMs on different Networks.
Some questions:
1. I ran lot of different GEOs. Would it be wise to create a WL from zones that made at least 5 conversions and has +ROI. Would you separate WL zones by country?
2. This goes back to question 1 is this how you make Global WL?
3. When AM send you the TOP performing GEOs how they determine this is the best? What TOP performing GEOs mean? Has the highest traffic volume, best ROI, most Affiliates running it, Most conversions, best conversion rate or these GEOs have the cheapest cocaine on market ?
4. When building WL. Is it matter what data we feed in it? Offer payout $0.1, $1 or $10 what difference would it make?

One more thing to I would like to add: Me had to stop and losing my savings had nothing to do with affiliate marketing or STM. Totally unrelated.
I'm by no means even remotely knowledgeable on pops/push but the fact you're seeing green is impressive.
I'd say upgrade out of Haka and go to TrafficCompany and test those offers.
You got the formula down in my opinion and you're testing everything which is always the right thing to do.
TrafficCompany can make you some real money and quick results on your test with PropellerAds or anyone with quick approval times.

Seeing Green is definitely feels good but cant take too much credit for it since everything was supplied by vortex and twinaxe on this forum. I just had to slam it together and see what happens.
You guys mentioned just get my head on traffic company and figure it out. I was like OK yeah traffic company where I buy the traffic right? LOL took me few days until it clicked in my head. Now you can see how fast I learn haha.

Yes, you can make really good money with their offers but you can also run lots of non-profitable campaigns there, even when you generate hundreds of conversions.
Here the problem is not to get conversions, it´s rather about running the right geo/carrier at the right time because performance can swing pretty fast.
The TC offers run on rev share s you also have to run with differet rules compared to fixed payout.
It can happen that your first 50 conversions in a campaign have payouts from $0.02-$0.10 and then the next payout suddenly is $20.
In the end it´s similar to other rev share offers/verticals:
You (often) have to invest more money first but in the end it can be really worth it.

And yeah the name Traffic Company confused me at first too when I first heard of it a few years back. Has nothing to do with your level of comprehension.
My way of dealing with TC's variable payouts is to ask what the average payout is, and then assume each conversion to be worth that much when I'm making campaign decisions initially (e.g. whether a country or mobile carrier or placement is worth running further). And then of course once you receive enough conversions for a specific geo+carrier you can calculate your own average. This average can change as you optimize the campaign as well.
And as @twinaxe has pointed out, the secret to mastering this type of offer is to run/pause each campaign at the right time. This can be hard to do manually - you'd need to monitor your campaigns frequently and start/stop as needed. Using automation can make your life a lot easier. TheOptimizer is a great tool, but if you're not running high volumes and making good profits, the cost will eat into your profits.
