Budget and variations
Hi,
1. Would testing 2 offers require 2x budget?
Fyi, the instructor of a Native ads course I'm following recommended split testing the same offer from different networks at the same time, 4 images, 4 headlines, 3 landing pages.
And he recommended spending 1X offer per placement.
2. The offer I plan to test is only available from one network(another network rejected my application)
So I'm wondering if it'd be a good idea to split test that offer with my own product which I've been running Google shopping ads with 2.14 ROAS ad spend: $5,776.27 so far without retargeting because Google banned retargeting for health products.
My own offer: conversion rate: 1.2% Product price: $199 EPC: $1.5
The affiliate offer(supplement): 2.63% Product price: $69.95 Avg payout: $80.00 EPC: $2.10 (this stat is provided by the aff network)
Does it seem like it'd be worth split testing these two?
Even though these are totally different products, the target audience is similar, almost the same including geo.
Fyi I'm just getting ready to test Native ads for the first time since I kept getting banned from FB right before scaling.
Many thanks!

Go for it man! You've been asking tons of great questions on here for quite awhile, obviously been working hard, and it sounds though you've had some success with your own offer already too

Dive in and let us know how it goes!

Yup, as long as the audience for both offers is identical, it's a good idea to test your own offers VS what you can get from affiliate networks. I assume that your offer should have more margin that you can work with... but who knows, maybe the affiliate offer will convert better and you can get inspired by their setup and tweak your flow for better performance.

If you want to do it "by the book" then yes, you should allocate 2x the budget for 2 offers. But, since you will be testing your own offer too, where you have some data to work with, you should be able to make decisions on that particular offer sooner. And maybe on the affiliate offer too, if it's falling behind your own offer early on.
