Ad arbitrage to YT or Google Ads sites?
If I send some POP traffic to an Youtube video or a website which has Google Ads enabled (or any other ad service that pay per CPM)....
What are the odds of me getting banned from it?
Did you ever try something like that?
Because from my calculations, I can send A LOT of traffic to an Youtube video and get a very good ROI on it.
But if it doesn't work, and if Youtube bans it, so it is a VERY easy way to get other channels banned?
Does that works this way?

Just to be clear, I WON'T do that "blackhat ban" thing to anyone, I'm just curious about how that works!
I have a friend who has an Youtube channel and he was thinking in ways to monetize it, so I thought about POP traffic. So my mind wandered through the options

I think that that "strategy" to ban others would take A LOT of money.
Because for a long while (months or even more) YT just don't pay for bot traffic. They deduct from your payout and that's it.
They will only ban if the majority of your payout comes from bots (and this is probably the risk of doing arbritage on YT)

Pop traffic is a no-no with adsense, they will ban you for that sooner or later. The other networks most likely too.
I did this several years ago with no bad intentions... then when I saw the numbers shooting up quickly, I started to do research and found out that adsense actually doesnt allow this.
Here is an old blog post, but I doubt they changed their policies: https://www.blog.google/products/ads...und-pop-unders
That is why we recently clarified our policies around pop-ups and pop-unders to help remove any ambiguity. To simplify our policies, we are no longer permitting the placement of Google ads on pages that are loaded as a pop-up or pop-under. Additionally, we do not permit Google ads on any site that contains or triggers pop-unders, regardless of whether Google ads are shown in the pop-unders.
Google and any other ad network can see how many impressions the ads are getting and with pops the CTR will be very low. The quality of those clicks will be low too so they will see advertisers are blocking your page etc... they have tons of ways to asses the quality of the traffic.
Obviously, you can get away with this on low scale... been doing that myself too, but it's almost certain that you will lose the account sooner or later.
Sending pop traffic to a youtube channel would be somewhat different, but I doubt the results would be any good and with adsense ads active, it would most likely still be considered a problem, especially with the high % of bots that pop traffic usually comes with.

Still not allowed. See Adsense policy

Ads in pop-up and pop-under windowsPublishers are not permitted to place Google ads in any window that is not initiated by an intentional user interaction (e.g., click). Additionally, Google ads may not be placed in any web browser window that lacks navigational controls, including back and forward browse buttons, and an editable URL field.

But what if... it was highly targeted pop traffic?
For example: The YT channel is the offer after a quiz funnel?
That would be acceptable, as the user has intent and you didn't do it in a stupid window without navigational controls.
Just a thought.

Crazy, those policies just make it very easy to do a blackhat ban to competition as OP suggested.
I wonder how Google detect that type of attack.

Thats different since a CLICK is involved and I would say it would be ok. The question is how well such clicks would perform further down the chain... I've heard from people losing their adsense accounts because of running "viral" type of things on FB to fuel their "made for adsense" web properties. Sometimes I feel like adsense would love people to monetize just the google search clicks

Yes, this is a problem and it has happened many time already. Sometimes it is possible to explain the situation and get the account back but honestly, google is so big that they dont really care that much.
