I'm starting to ramp up my efforts on FB, but need some help from the experts. I have a campaign on FB that goes to an iframed LP on a FB page using TabPress. I have a pretty noticeable click discrepancy.
out of every 1,000 clicks only 500 click the LP. My ad copy is directly tied into the copy on the LP (take a quiz). Would 50% of people really click and then choose not to take the quiz?
My theories:
- When I run this during the day, people are at work so they don't want to take a quiz, but the ad made them curious.
- Secure img hosting, i've read that you need to have secure images to work with TabPress otherwise 30% of users will get a security warning. I have my images on S3 now, so I've sort of ruled this out.
- Tabpress requires users to install the app in order to see the lander?
Any FB pros out there know what's going on?
I also know Static FBML has been retired, but is grandfathered for sites that already had it before they cut it. Is there a sneaky way to get this onto your FB page?
so much better than tabpress. thanks corp!
Just remember that clicks also = "likes" when you're sending to an FB page. So a good portion of the clicks you're paying for may very well just be "likes."
Wow, I was not completely aware of this. It's not clear what "social connections" mean etc. good info!
