So ive recently had trouble exiting the learning phase so i thought instead of have 5 duplicates of an ad set inside a campaign, that it would be better to have a single ad set with 5 ad duplicates inside of it. So what im wondering is am i "casting a wider net" (increasing the probability of having a couple profitable ads) by duplicating ads within an ad set in the same way that i would be if i were to have 5 duplicated ad sets in a campaign?
in other words do ads hit different audience pools in the same way that ad sets do?
also do ad sets with more ads take longer to exit the learning phase?
thanks in advance
when you duplicate within a running campaign it probably hit a decent amount of people who already seen your first ads.
so I prefer to do both, so duplicate within a bad performing campaign(maybe the adjust correct something?), but also duplicate as a whole new campaign definitely!
I never touch good performing campaigns, it can leave a bad taste.
I 2nd that, don't touch a good performing campaign. I learned it that hard way, just duplicate & miss around with the ads on a new campaign.
Hi there!
In order to exit the learning phase, you should get 50 actions in one Ad Set in 7 days. If you don't make it, there won't be enough data for Facebook to optimize. The fastest way to do that is to use 1 Ad Set with different ads in one campaign if you use CBO. Whether you want duplicate Ad Sets, use ABO. Of course, you can duplicate your ads in one Ad Set, but you likely find your profitable cases if you use different creatives.
Facebook can optimize campaigns only via Ad Sets because it has an audience - ads don't have it, so it will be unreal to hit different audience pools via ads in one Ad Set. In this case, you should duplicate your Ad Sets, but don't forget about the learning phase.
We wish you good luck!
try both for sure and try Lowest cost vs bids as well and when one of those works then dupe the campaigns and turn up the budget!
