Let’s make $80 in a day and avoid Facebook security together

While making money on social media is often a chosen option when it comes to promoting partnership programs, Facebook and Instagram often bans and removes affiliate links. We have good news, though. Let us show you how to effectively earn money on social media without worrying about bans and blockades.

Why should you promote on Facebook?

That one is easy. Facebook is the place where your audience is. After all, it still is the most used social network in the world. That means a lot of opportunities for affiliate marketers.

It’s worth mentioning that social media is the most chosen option as a traffic source among MyLead publishers.

Recommending on Facebook. How?

Facebook is huge, you all know that. And that means there’s a huge amount of opportunities if it comes to earning.

Fanpages

Fanpages are like owning a website just to recommend products from your chosen partner program. Anything can be promoted this way. From sweepstakes and e-commerce stores to weight-loss pills. It’s all about how the Fanpage is themed. If you’re not sure how to promote using your Fanpage, we’re looking forward to hearing from you. MyLead will come through an audit with your individual preferences.

Paid advertising

The pro of this solution is an investment that is usually not too big to put in. Also, you don’t need a huge Facebook page. A few dollars can equal a very high profit. The significant thing when it comes to paid ads is personalising the content to a target group. Fortunately, Facebook allows you to pick a whole range of subjects that will be interesting to a particular group of recipients. Paid ads are what was used in an eponymous $80 that we made with the solutions that are described in this article.

External groups

This one is easy. You don’t need to invest in external groups. What has to be done to be successful with an external group are:

There’s a lot of possibilities when it comes to hyping the posts up. MyLead’s publishers post gifs or videos just for other users to pay more attention to it. There are also people who have two accounts and join the group while using one to post positive comments.

Internal groups

What has to be done when it comes to internal groups is inviting a bunch of people to them. Once that’s done, all of the group members will see what’s been posted. The option of creating an internal group gives you the possibilities like:

Bots

Bots are great when it comes to gathering leads. It’s also a very modern solution that is gaining more and more popularity among affiliate marketers. We have also created a separate thread about creating bots. You can read it by clicking HERE.

Fake accounts

Fake accounts are great when it comes to dating promotion. Imagine a good-looking woman’s account that is convincing men to create a profile on another dating website. It can work! Also, once your fake account is created, you can join any Facebook group, including the one for singles where new opportunities await.

Dating

The most popular social media network has introduced a new functionality - Facebook Dating. It looks like Tinder and is free to use. With Facebook Dating, you can text and video chat. What can be done here is similar to the things described above. Try creating a woman’s account and with your charisma, recommend your interlocutor to another dating website. Bear in mind that this method can generate incentivized traffic. And that is forbidden for a lot of affiliate programs from the dating category. But because Facebook Dating is relatively new, there’s a lot to discover there. Including ways to earn! Also, remember that Facebook Dating is available only on mobile devices.

Marketplace

Marketplace is not often used when it comes to affiliate promotion. Rarely used way of promoting affiliate links. How can you use Marketplace to promote your links? Let’s say you’re posting an image of a new iPhone. The actual description of the auction says that the recipients can win the phone from a competition that can be found with your affiliate link. Marketplace has the potential. You just need to discover it fully.

Events

Just like Marketplace, Events seem to be a little bit overlooked. For this option to work, you’d have to post your affiliate links on the event page. The event could be called “[PLENTY OF PRIZES TO WIN] gift cards worth $65 to <brand_name>”.
Obviously, the best thing about Events is the fact that you can invite friends. There’s one disadvantage and that’s the lack of possibility to automatically invite a couple of people at the same time. We can show you how to make things easier.
Once you’re in the invite friends view, type in the search engine:

javascript: var inputs = document.getElementsByClassName('_1pu2');
for(var i=0; i<inputs.length; i++)
{
inputs[i].click();
}

After a minute, everyone should be invited! There’s also plenty of helpful browser extensions. You can try this one!

Bypassing the limits

Social media hates affiliate links. And that applies to most affiliate networks in the world. Lucky for you, we have some solutions for that problem. The first one would be creating a prelander which would be an additional sales page. That means that the recipients don’t go straight to the website of the advertiser, but to your page. From there, they will go to the program you’ve chosen to promote. If you want to know more about prelanders, click HERE and go to the MyLead blog.

Prelanders can work magic but don’t fully solve the problem of bans. How to deal with them? We have some ideas.

Forms

Forms are the best option when promoting sweepstakes with paid ads. Let us show you step by step how to create one. Go to Google Forms to create a survey which will be very easy to complete. After your recipient does it, there will be an affiliate link. Forms can help you build trust among your audience which is always a huge advantage.

Creating a survey

The first thing that needs to be done is selecting an affiliate program. I’m going with:

Amazon - Survey
Rate: USD 0.82 | Model: CPL | Conversion type: Participation in the competition, completing
the survey | Preview: CLICK

Go to Google Forms by clicking here.
Choose the "Blank" tile. It will allow you to create a new survey.

Here’s a template that we’re choosing.

Let’s fill the data - title, name, and initial text. In the initial text, don’t add any redirections to the partner program. It’s not safe to put it there, so let’s do this later, in the answer to the question.

After filling the data, it should look like this:

● Name of the document (only I can see it): Questionnaire - a contest with a voucher to Amazon
● Title: Questionnaire with the possibility to win a gift card for Amazon
● Description: We have prepared for you a gift card worth USD 500 to be spent on Amazon! You almost have it! Answer ONLY ONE QUESTION 😮 to win USD 500 on your gift card.

Emojis are a great way to attract the attention of your recipients. Fortunately, you are able to use them in Google Form. Get Emoji is an extensive database that you can use.

NOTE: Don’t put any affiliate links at this stage.

Once everything is done, our form should look like this:

Now let's focus on obligatory questions that will be about the program. In our case it will be:

● Do you regularly shop on Amazon? (answers: yes, no)
● Why do you like Amazon? (multiple choice question; answers: quick service, a large selection of products, promotions, loyalty system)

Now our survey looks like this:

If you want to change anything, be our guest. You can adjust the form to be more aesthetically pleasing. Change the colour or the font.

Now let’s focus on the final message that will popup after the form is completed. That’s the time where an affiliate link should appear. Let’s do it.

Click on the "Presentation" tab and then go to the "Confirmation message" option. It should be completed like that:

🥳 Congratulations! 🥳 You are given a chance to receive a 🎁 gift card worth USD 500. Go to the CONTEST PAGE ▶️ http://affiliatelink.com/

Because one recipient equals one lead you can deselect the option "Show link to submit another response".

After saving it, the survey is ready! You can see how the whole survey presents by clicking here. So the first section should present as follows:

Go for the "Submit" option which will lead you to the end of our form.

The affiliate link you placed should be active now. The form is done. Now, you need to preview the survey to take your affiliate link to it. Do that by going for the eye icon in the upper right corner). After that, shorten the link or put it on the .com domain that you own. It will make everything look more trustworthy.

What can be done differently?

Changing colours

You can customize the whole form. Click on the pallet icon to pick the colour scheme of your choosing.

Adjusting makes everything look more reliable. Customize the form so that it matches the colours of the sweepstakes brand you’re promoting. If you’re interested in colour psychology and how it affects the recipients, go to the MyLead blog. You can read about it by clicking here.

Pictures and videos

With Google Form, you are able to place pictures and videos. Surveys say that about 65% of people are visualizers. Make use of this data!

Emails database

With Google Forms you are also able to gather email addresses of recipients who complete the form. Thanks to this option, you can create a useful mailing database for marketing contact purposes. To allow this option, go to the "General" tab.

Bear in mind that if you choose this option the effectiveness of the form can be reduced.

What can be promoted with the survey?

We already kind of answered that. It’s the Lotteries and Contests category that will be the easiest to promote, but you can try with any category you want.

● Supplements - a survey that focuses on symptoms that the recipient is worrying about. After completing it, he or she will be redirected to a particular supplement that will help curing the symptoms;
● Dates - the form will answer to the recipient’s requirements when it comes to the partner’s appearance, age, or education, and then it will redirect them to the appropriate section,
● Banking - you can use the survey to show the recipients an offer of a promoted bank,
● Others - Google Form works great with a vast majority of affiliate programs. To be honest the options are limitless, you just need to be creative. If you need any help in promoting or choosing the program, contact the MyLead support team. We’re waiting for you on our Discord server which you can check out by clicking HERE.

Remember that you’re not the brand you’re promoting

Some publishers try to pretend to be the brand they’re promoting. When this happens, a fake brand account on Facebook is being created. Publishers try to post a competition using the form and pay for advertisement. Unfortunately, activities like these are inconsistent with the restrictions of affiliate programs.

Documents

Google is full of great tools and options. Try creating a doc file online where you can place some information about the thing you’re promoting and affiliate links. The big advantage of the Google Documents is its customization possibilities. Creating a document on Google is free and easy, just go to the Google Disc. It could look like this:

This is just the basic concept. As the Google Docs allows you to play with everything, you should let your creativity flow. Change the fonts, colours, upload photos, gifs, emojis.

If you decide to use Docs to promote, bear in mind that you should:
● change the settings so that recipient cannot change the content of the document; do that by going to the "File" -> "Share" menu,
● shorten the document’s link to make it look more aesthetically pleasing.

Stickers

Stickers mean creating mini websites with affiliate links. There are special platforms thanks to which you will be able to do that. The example would be pastelink.net. Just paste the link there and the recipient will be redirected to the created subpage. With pastelink.net, you can also add emojis and texts to the content.

The Sticker example in my case looks like this:

Bear in mind that shortening your affiliate link will make it look more trustworthy.

There are some additional options to consider:

They are about the following issues:
● Visibility - go for Hidden if you want your subpage to be seen only by those who have a link,
● Link Options - let’s stay with “Show Link”, it will make the link active until clicked,
● Referrer Info - let’s stay with "Public" for better security, it will make one click on the link enough. You can try “Hidden”, but we’re predicting it will give you lower conversion,
● Passcode - you are able to set a passcode to enter the document. It will significantly up your security game but it will also reduce conversion. Let’s stay with “None”,
● Custom URL - customizing URL is great and you should definitely use it. The example of your URL name could be https://pastelink.net/amazongiftcard; the name must not contain special characters like "-".

Now, it should look like this:

Bots

Bots would generate your profit while serving the recipients on Messenger. We have a separate thread about creating bots that you can read by clicking HERE.

Link cloaker

There are also some special tools and systems that are made just to bypass Facebook security. Usually you’d have to pay for them but MyLead offers its own link cloaking system called HideLink and it has several elements. One of them is the safe page which basically is a page that everyone who clicks on the link promoted by the publisher first goes to. To be able to use HideLink, you need to own a domain and hosting. If a bot uses the link you promote, it remains on the safe page. The real user is redirected to the specific advertiser's website. So there is no contact with your safe page. Thanks to this, the links you promote have a much longer lifespan. HideLink is free to use. If you want to read more about it, click HERE.

But the MyLead’s link cloaking system is not the only option. There are some for which you’d have to pay, but they are also very effective. One of them is cloakerly.com which from $149 per month not only does it give you the same feature like HideLink, but also provides several other functionalities, such as traffic analysis, junk traffic blockers, etc. Of course, there’s even more link cloaking systems:

● linkscloaking.com
● justcloakit.com
● getlasso.co
● thirstyaffiliates.com
● leadcloak.com

It’s worth mentioning that the link cloaker is the most effective solution of all described in this thread.

Facebook’s ad accounts

While advertising accounts are great when it comes to promoting affiliate links, some of them can be banned because of the promotion of some kinds of partner programs.

What you should do with an ad account at first is promotion with a low budget and reliable links. Once some time has passed, you could just increase the budget. Thanks to that, the chance of approval will be higher. What’s also worth mentioning is that it’d be a smart idea to use an internship account to configure the ad account.

Bear in mind Facebook’s policies. They are strict and there’s a lot of them. The example could be that you can get blocked for placing money photos money on ads. If you wish to get to know the rules, go to the subpage and go to the "prohibited materials" and "restricted materials".

Of course, in case of banning your ad account, you have the right to appeal against the decision. Sometimes there’s an option to contact the Facebook team right away after starting the process, but if your case, the option doesn’t show up, you can complete the form and send it to the Facebook team. By clicking here, you can also get help with the unblocking process.

What’s also worth mentioning is that once you get banned, don’t use the same credit card number when creating a new ad account.

Recommending on Instagram

In case of an Instagram promotion, you can do it in four different ways.

1. Using BIO - you can put an affiliate link in BIO

2. Using InstaStories - once you reach 10 thousand followers, your InstaStories can have the “swipe-up” option that can redirect your audience to any website you wish.

3. DM Promotion - it’s said that links in DMs should be active. Unfortunately, Instagram likes limits and sometimes makes the links become text. Also, bear in mind that sometimes your DMs can be found in the “Others” tab which may reduce the opening rate.

4. Paid ads - it’s just like the ones on Facebook - you can just create paid ads that will contain affiliate links. What’s worth noting is that even with paid ads, your picture description box cannot contain any active links.
